I was composing a shot when I heard a flock of Canada Geese behind me as they were trying for takeoff - I quickly swung the 600 around and fired off several images using the f stop and shutter setting I had set for my intended shot. This was the best of the lot. I most like the sense of speed imparted by the settings.

Captured a sequence of images of a Coopers Hawk trying to scare off a fake owl on my neighbor's deck. This went on for several minutes as the hawk dove an swooped at the the fake, plastic owl.This series of these images was picked up by the Mercury News in England and a short story was posted on the internet.

A small portion of the Tahquamenon Falls in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Tannins in the water are responsible for its golden color.
