Many thanks, Ed. Yes, it does look a little strange and that is what attracted me. I have no idea how it compares to other Tamron macros. It is the only AF macro that I have and it is a 272EP. I assume that the P is for Pentax. I just checked and it is still available in Pentax mount.

Thanks for the comment re my avatar. It was overdue for an update. The previous one was a few years old. :)

Thanks, Paul. Yeah, I had a Brownie like that too. The lady next door worked at Kodak so I got it at staff price. :)

Hi Paul, we are under "Stay at Home" health orders. You are only allowed to leave your house for a small number of reasons - obtain food or other goods and services locally, for medical or caring reasons, including obtaining a COVID-19 vaccination, exercise and take outdoor recreation - stay within 5km of your home, plus a couple more.
I am fortunate to live in a gated retirement village. We have a large internal area where we can walk freely in the open air but where we must wear masks. Fines of $3000 apply is you are caught breaking the orders. I comply.
The orders may be relaxed a little in our area and we are waiting for an announcement later today.

My wife and I are both double vaccinated and we hope that will allow us some level of freedom.

Here is one from the vault that I discovered during lockdown. It is from the very early days of my K10D ownership (Sept 2007) when I was only shooting Jpegs and only had one lens - the first version of the DA 18-55mm. Very little processing required apart from the removal of a bit of vignetting at 18mm. :)

Nice work, Richard. I love the soft light of fog and the way colours are accentuated.
