#14

Many elements combine to make this an excellent photo, the play of light and shadow of the clouds and the sun cast by the plane,

the symmetry and... it's a great interpretation.

Exactly 'fn' is not usable, I do not know where and in which machines it works,

another thing that surprises me is that I bought it on September 25 and the price was € 29 now the price has risen to € 41.90 always on Amazon.

Honestly, I didn't pose the problem of how to turn off the flashing red light, but thanks to 'pentageek'.
I bought it a few days ago, tried it and it works at over 5m, but a small problem arises, what does the 'fn' button operate and how is it programmed?
Can anyone answer this?

It's a must-have optic in a Pentaxian's kit, I have a pristine copy.

However it is great to use it in FF and APS you get fantastic effects and distortions,

not to mention the built-in filters, excellent buy.

Sometimes you like an image depending on your mood, then comparing it to others you're not sure anymore.

Getting to the finals is a great achievement, there will always be a winner, a second and a third. It's a given by now.

My choice is still the first of the first and second round, still #5, simple and beautiful with few colors but well dosed light and shadows.

The Shake Reduction was inserted in K10 and K20, in the *.ist there was no stabilization function. Because the electronics and development phases were still immature.

In K3III, I would like a sort of frame on the sides of the viewfinder that allows the joystick to change the exposure modes,
and alternatively the selection of times and apertures without detaching the eye from the viewfinder and to concentrate only on the subject.

Otherwise why this mystery and this long research on the viewfinder? Just because it has a wider vision than all other APS standards?

If you do not find it maybe used, is to have it printed at a printer or online, I think it is the wisest thing.

Good test general against the light and exposure and CA.

In the pushed wide angles is always a difficult test to overcome and in particular when the plots of the trees are numerous some ray manages to create flare, but I do not seem to see it.

I own the triad limited, in green version, Have you ever compared the green versions with the HD versions?

It should work, in practice is like putting it on a tripod, what you must do carefully is the calibration and make sure there are no magnetic fields,
even one or two spare batteries are useful because of the energy consumption is increased.

Split focusing screen suggestions

My experience, when I bought K20D (2008),
one of the first things I did was to replace the focus screen with one that had a stigmometer, 12 years have passed and the screen is still there that works perfectly
and helps me in some cases when the lighting is not the best. I didn't spend much, I bought one on ebay from China, similar to this one.

It is normal in the abnormality of things, it is assumed that after the design and before being put on the market,
those unfortunate optics with that type of SDM engine have always had various types of failures.

Take a look: Pentax Lens Disassembly Database

Also in China also complain about these problems: SDM DA 16-50mm

Hi Penta,

At a remote it is difficult to understand what is really the cause of the malfunction, I looked for the mechanical scheme but I do not know if it exists.

I found these instructions with illustrations for SDM repair, that may help you. Pentax 16-50 mm SDM (DA*)

and this discussion on the forum Pentax SDM issues (like everyone else)

I hope you will be able to repair it promptly.
