Sounds to me like Pay Pal is not a very user friendly place . I won't use them because of all the horror stories I have read about. Don't use ebay for anything anymore either. I would rather go to a reputable dealer than do business where every transaction could lead to
a financial nightmare

I took some photos of my grandchildren and my granddaughter got a slight black eye playing basketball and I can't touch it up to my satisfaction. I use lightroom and have photoshop elements 6 but am not familiar with elements. Does anyone have
any simple techniques to make this acceptable.

It wasn't creative intention. I took a rather quick shot and it was probably me that messed the focus
up. I totally agree with your comments. thanks a lot

Thanks for the comments. He was tan but wasn't sunburn. I did use a gold reflector and
that may be part of my color problem plus I didn't make any corrections to the white balance
when editing

The GGI card reader you mentioned is the one I bought from B&H when I got my camera. I think I will get another card and try the micromate reader

I have a K5 and am using a Sandisk extreme SD 8 gb card. I bought a sd card
reader and the brand name is GGI gear. The problem I have is that when I
insert the card reader in my computer I often have the computer say you
need to format this card, I eject the card and try and after a few times
it works correctly. Tonight I tried to install the new firmware and formated
the card in my camera and inserted it in the computer and it would not work
at all. The card will record photos ok but this is annoying. Do you think my card is
bad or should I get a better card reader. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

I have a Canon 580ex flash that I would like to use on a flash bracket with
my K5. Can I use the Canon off camera flash cord as long as I shoot the flash
in manual mode?
thanks

I don't understand why you would not want to use the focus assist light in low light conditions.
Isn't this what makes it possible for the camera to focus properly in those situations. When would you not want to have the focus assist light come on. The OP seems to have demonstated that it does a fine job. It seems that until we know what lens he was using as compared to the lens used in the liscense plate photo it is hard to make a judgement. I am not sure that this is
a condition that would matter to me.

I bought a Pentax to have a smaller camera body and lighter lens. Even if the Tamron has equal
IQ I wouldn't consider it as it would defeat the whole purpose of going to Pentax for me. I had Canon equipment and had the Canon 70-200 and while a great lens I got tired of carrying it.
I haven't got the 50-135 but it is on my list . I will probably buy an extended guarantee to protect myself .

I worked as a second shooter for a while before I became a primary and I knew several that would only hire seconds that shot the same camera system as they did because they wanted the same skin tones , color etc that their brand produced to give their wedding package a uniform appearance. If the had Canon gear they would not even talk to a Nikon shooter and vice versa.
I would be more interested in the second's photographic talent and the results they produced.
The answer she gave you is definitely BS
I shot Canon when I did weddings but when I retired from that I sold my Canon stuff and bought a K5 and really like it a lot more

The Nikon may be a better camera for the OP but that doesn't mean it is better
than the K5. I looked at both but chose the K5 because it met my needs better than
the D7000. All modern digital cameras will do a good job. Most of the time
the choice is made because of ergonomics or reputation. The debate about
which is the better camera is pointless. All brands have their problems and
their good points.

Aaron, I am from Cincinnati and saw a Kr in the Cord camera store next to the
Kenwood Mall. They also had a K 7. I shot Canon but once I had the K7 in my
hands I knew I had to have a Pentax. I was looking for a lightweight but robust
body and ended up buying a K5. I had shot with a Canon 20D and a 5D and just
love the Pentax
