Do people in the USA ever use tons as a measurement?

I use ton for industrial equipment capacity.

A 5 ton hoist might actually be within designed safety factors at 10,367 lbs (random number). Just looks better stencilled on the hoist as 5 tons.

Another use example is if you have a lot of work to do, you would use "ton" as an equivalent to a "load".

"I have a ton of projects around the house I should be working on, but instead I'm out taking pictures."

Being in Automotive, I can't go a single meeting without hearing MLAs (multi letter abbreviations).
Especially when the QE's (Quality Engineers) or SQE's (Supplier Quality Engineers) get involved.

Its enough to create some serious IBS.

I don't get it either.

Maybe it's an experiment from the original photographer, to see how many people are just kissing his behind, and who will call BS on him.

A CW channel show Riverdale.
In various episodes, but noticed the KM in season 3, Episode 3, one of the girls was using the KM in a couple scenes.

I watch this with my teenager:).

I like the use of portrait orientation here. My eyes follow the road, up to the large outcropping at the top.
I would have set the road in the image like you were driving down in your lane. (For me, I would have placed the center-line of the road at the left 1/3 of the image.)

If I were editing, I would:

Add a bump in contrast, and warm up the white balance to bring a little more of the orange out in the rocks

That's just my opinion .

But the mystery of the road appearing to just end at the base of the mountain makes the image special.

Thank you for sharing!
