I want to sell mine for funds to get the D-FA, but I'm very hesitant to do so because of how small and light it is in comparison. Here's another example of it being used on the K-1 for ya:Waterfall at Fall Run Park

I would without hesitation pay 250 EUR/280 USD for that lens as you've described it. However, if the seller did not describe this condition accurately then I would seek some sort of compensation.

I jumped on it when it was $375 last year... that was a great price at the time. I can personally vouch for how great this lens is on the K-1.

K1 II - best legacy budget lens on the best price to IQ value ratio for the lowest $

That's the type of argument I'd expect from a salesman. No, it is not a logical thought process to assume that just because someone spent x amount of money on a camera body means that they're doing an injustice by using cheaper costing lenses. I'd begin to agree with you if there were a distinct parallel between price and quality but I know that you know better than that. I absolutely love using my $55 K 55 1.8 on my K-1 and am extremely happy results (and the same goes for many other legacy lenses). I love the smoothness of the focus ring that you will never find on a AF lens. I also appreciate the fact that I can use a lens that is as old as I am and still get superior results. OP specifically stated that he wants a legacy lens for a low price and even gave his personal justifications for why he didn't want to spend more. It's fine that even after reading their post you still don't understand their thought process but sharing that thought in the judgemental way that you did is insultuous and does nothing to contribute to OP's post.

Can I use AC adaptor, tethering cable, and shutter switch at the same time? If I had my camera in front of me I'd probably be able to answer my own question... I'm gearing up for a Santa shoot this weekend that I'm volunteering for and just now realized how helpful those items will be. On a side note, does anyone know of a long shutter switch (~ 10 ft) that till work., or if a regular stereo cable extender would work.. most of the ones I've seen are pretty short. Thanks!

Is this a satire piece? It was pretty obvious that the sun was in-frame only on the 43 and that it was causing the washed out look and flare.

How do you deal with people looks?

I like the photograph - well worth it. Did you hear them specifically making derogatory comments about you, or was it just inferred? My first suggestion is to work at being as focused as you can about your subject and try to block people out. Confidence - even if faked - will give you courage. If needed, pretend that you're a well known photographer who is on an assignment for a huge client and getting paid a years worth of your normal wages for this one assignment. Have fun with it and know that they have no idea who they're laughing at! One other tip that I have is that your clothing can actually have a huge impact on your confidence and frame of mind... even if you're just going out for a candid street shoot, dress like you've been hired by a client to do a portrait session... anything to sort of elevate you and make you feel like a professional. Our minds are so susceptible to influence that we can even trick ourselves with little mind games like these.

I use Smugmug to host my site and have been extremely happy with them. Print sales go smoothly, and editing the site is pretty easy to do. I tried Squarespace in the past, but I wasn't able to customize it in the way I needed. I also tried out Zenfolio, but will never even consider them in the future as they used dishonest tactics in an attempt to retain me when I tried to cancel their service after signing up for a trial. I've used Flickr since 2007, but haven't kept up with it much in 2018 so far. Sumgmug has been great though - they still push through some pretty important improvements that we request from time to time (FINALLY added https), and their customer support can't be beat. The only issue is that my web design needs a lot of help, so hopefully it doesn't reflect poorly upon them!

Pentax = Grass Foliage ?

The original post stated that he was using Lightroom, not PDCU. In Lightroom if you have the "Camera Calibration" set to "embedded" then it will show colors based off of the color profile chosen in-camera.

I know I've taken a ton of these, but I've only posted a couple online... with the 2nd being questionable as the ripples themselves are in focus, but the foliage itself is blurred:

It'll make a difference if they're using the "embedded" profile for their Camera Calibration in LR. I've definitely noticed grass being a bit unnaturally green on my K5II and K1 using the DA 50 1.8 and FA 77, but I forget what profile I had been using.

Wanted - Acquired: ND Filter - 49mm

I highly recommend B+W MRC ND filters (and their polarizing filters as well). I own 3 stop, 6 stop, and 10 stop filters in a few different sizes including 49mm. The 3 stop were mainly for use with flash in bright environments, 6 stop were for flowing water photos, and 10 stop was intended for architecture photography with cloud trails. It has been a couple years now since I've used one... I never got into architectural photography, my polarizer is enough to get the shutter speed I want, and I haven't had the need to use flash in bright environments. What do you plan on using yours for?
