Thanks for quick reply. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by Sel 9...Do you use continious Focus, single Focus, and do you let the camera decide focuspoint? IOO

I haven't tested it so much mounted reversed. But mounted the normal way, with my home made mount it works very fine. You get a very small macro lens with f2.8, but first you have to make your own mount!

Hi
I have this lens, but now I'm not sure if it's an 8 element or a later 7 element version.

It has a protruding rear lens element, and on the stop down switch, which is marked A M (rather than Auto Man as on the later versions). BUT it has the infrared mark on the left side of 4, instead of the right side. So one thing indicate the oldest version, and another one of the newer.

It has no dot at the f/2 position.

Is this a later version of the oldest one (8 elements)?

Can anyone help me to find out wich version I have. I'll be very glad if someone could give me the answer.

Best regards IOO

Bonne nuit! OK, I guessed so, but to be sure I asked. I also like to do things like that. I've once took a Canon lens and put it in front of my K10-D, without any mounting. It had some fungus, but I got ready softened photos without photoshopping! I have used lenes reversed also without a reversering, just handheld against the camera body.

That was exciting! My Helicoid extension tube was for M42, but variable. So I used it at its longeset. I'll try it again on tuesday.

I don't know, it's a 70mm lens on full frame, so on 110-film it's a tele lens. The same on Q, on the first Q versions it is about the same as 375 on a fullframe camera (35 mm film).

I think the main problem is the distance to the sensor.
