With my lack of planning and experience for making starscapes, I forgot to take one separate picture of the foreground without the Astrotracer enabled, hence the visible blur, but helped not getting star trails in this near 2-minute exposure. The foreground was "light-painted" with my flashlight.

I don't know about pentaxians overthere, I live just north of the border, just a bit more than an hour drive... but that would be a really nice place to meet, there are lots of photography subjects at that place...

Correct! That's one advantage of the Irix, and it can be calibrated, although it's already made before leaving the factory.
The larger FOV of the 11mm over the 15mm would be interesting too!

Thanks to all for your nice comments...

The hardest part is to keep the focus to infinity, there is a technique to achieve that in manual mode and Live view and a loupe of magnifier, after that you should check the focus from time to time to make sure it did not changed (I put some tape on the focus ring to help).
Also the best is to have the widest/fastest/sharpest lens as possible...
I love the 15mm Irix, but here the 11mm Irix (all FF lenses for K-1), would be an asset...

I haven't seen that many nightscape / starscapes made with the 10-17mm Fisheye lens.

Here's an example with this lens...

But With my lack of planning and experience for making starscapes, I forgot to take one separate picture of the foreground without the Astrotracer enabled, hence the visible blur, but helped not getting star trails in this near 2-minute exposure. Another one that just hit the Explore Page at rank #67 right now (I had to count on the Explore page as Scout did not monitored it yet)

Eleven portrait handheld images were stitched with Lr6 to create this panorama.
Please note the dragonfly on the sand in the lower left corner.
The superb details and the unique starburst effect are courtesy of the SMC Pentax-DA 15mm F4 ED AL Limited lens who still controls my mind...

Hi, to be frank, I do not know... I am not that familiar with other services than FB, Flickr, Twitter and Pinterest (I'd like to use Instagram a bit more, but it's not convenient to share photos from my master photostream (that is on Flickr) to instagram from the computer ... Flickr do not offer direct sharing to Instagram.

FINALLY!!!
(Ok no one know my story, but I had lost track of my 85mm soft for almost a year... I was too much in shame to talk about that in this thread...)
I finally found it in my dauther's room, after she quit the home.
In the last months, I was in the middle of home improvements, etc etc, and was searching for my lens all around the house, in the different "temporary" boxes I made to clear some of the rooms affected... I thought at one point that I had loaned it to my dauther, and when I asked her, she did not remembered seeing it... I was wondering if I had loaned it to someone else, but could not remember myself...
So last w-e, we emptied her room before making another improvement and found it in a drawer inside a big cabinet...

I need to go out and shoot a bit with that glass asap!
Stay tuned ! :-)

OK, good to know! I Think I pick one of these with hyphens on a publication made by Ricoh on FB...
But I will make sure I remove any hyphens in the future!
Thanks!

P.s. what is the use of those ones starting with "@" ? Not sure to understand this subtility...
