Thanks! You can find these zooms in really low prizes sometimes. So low that it is pointless to sell them, unless you have cabins full. It is head and shoulders above M135 that I own...and really good lens in every aspect. But I think that your M120 is better, maybe :)

Well I'm bombing this thread with multiple shots...sorry for hijacking ... did little more tests, now with tripod. I shot handheld with my K-1 and on tripod with this little O-em5 II(I also switched to tripod on K-1 too at really dark).

Even that kit lens is really much better on tripod, little soul less, but good still. You do really want tripod for dusk/dawn shots.

FA 77mm limited vs 24-70 mm D FA

I suppose that you have looked at this thread:
HD Pentax-D FA 24-70mm F2.8 Club - PentaxForums.com

There are numerous examples from that zoom, as you could think too from the title. You can also see couple portraits made with that zoom, and that Rondec guy had K-3 by the time he started that thread and went to FF...it could be really informative for you.

that said, as portrait lens FA 77 is great, it is even more versatile than that, when mounted on FF. It is great on K-3 too. Now, as just for tight portraits, 85 mm might be giving more punch(look at photos taken by Le Rolls(K-1 thread) and FA 85 lens examples. If blurred background is more important. FA 77 tends to show Background and enviroment more, but some might like that better.

just couple thoughts from me.

I have given alot of thinking on this little camera...still thinking of getting just that 12-60 and that is it/or 9-18...then again 7,5/2 Laowa seems quite attractive too........and 17mm prime. best might be that I just get that 12 laowa for my K-1 for ultra wide. and adapt it to this machine if needed. and get that 12-60 for travelling and what ever. I enjoy my K-1 still so much.

here is couple shots of 43 and 77... will give then proper run later this weekend, now that raining seems to be over.

well image quality is not even close to my K-1 or even K-3...but it is small, and actually it was fun to go around. i also tried my M 75-150 yesterday. So different perspective, and I know that I could just crop it from my K-1 but this seems to be different thing. EVF takes some time to get used to. But I think that with nice little lens it will be a lot of fun, maybe even some small primes at some point, who knows.

Thanks for good recommends. Size is something to be considered. I do like size of this 12-42, but somehow quality is underwhelming, and it could be little wider. I like 20 mm on FF. Actually my most used lens is 20-35...it is quite big thou. So maybe that 9-18 would actually be great. I do like primes too. So will compare it to that rokinon. It might be fun with my K-3 too.. don't want to put too much money to this thou..just have compact nice quality fun machine. :)

So, I bought a O MD EM5II...for a project, now trying to figure it out as my having fun camera...even if it is my companys camera and should be used only for that...what would you suggest for wideangle? thirdparty...? I was shooting wiht my Samyang 14/2.8, and that cheapo kit lens for Oly. 14-42..sammy is maybe better. can't really tell. funny thing is that 14 mm is just 28 equiv. so small 10 or 12 mm. would be nice. is there any of them? or should I just go ahead and buy Laowe 12/2.8 and use it with my K-1 too and for having 24 mm eq. for this micro 4/3

Sorry if this is stupid questions...just getting familiar with these things.

I bought adapter for my pentax class, but even A 24/2.8 is so tight.

good luck!

Here is couple starburst shots with my FA 43

bling by repaap, on Flickr

movement by repaap, on Flickr

I just noticed that I don't have so many starburst shots with this lens...it works so well with different shots too, but that starburst is really how it is with this lens, signature of 43.

here is shallow Dof shot too, nothing special, but shows how it is on FF.

lehtikaali by repaap, on Flickr

it shows it s bokeh characteristics too IMO.
EDIT: ofcourse if you get closer to the target bokeh is more pleasing, but there in that last shot it is quite typical WO bokeh. it is wild, but I have quite come to lik it's faults and what it offers. Fast 50 will be smoother.

I have FA 43, and I have to say that I'm time to time lusting after 50 mm macro and that is another story. But I also like my FA 43 really much. IF you like that kind of starbursts, It REALLY shines on that. What I did not like was in matter of FoV on crop sensor on FF I like it really much but that is personal thing. But you are not in to macros so much so that is not a problem.
