Any of you guys take on the task of this project. I am currently in the middle of it. It's quite a challenge to say the least. My goal starting Jan1 to take a photograph every day with my K20d (mostly with my 50mm 1.4) . So far so good. But keeping it fresh has been hard.
my link is Bruce Layfield Photography | Project 365 a photo a day I also put it on my facebook page as well. Would like to see if anyone else has completed or is getting close to the middle as I .

I attached the picture of the lock. Does it pop off with flat head screw driver. As said above torquing it off will not work but to break the lens. If i could afford to sent it in for repair i would but its a bit tight in the funds department. I was looking for a cheap fix. Thanks as always.

I checked it for dirt. And nothing . The slide goes back into lock position and out of the locked postition. Still the lens does not zoom out. It feel like was ever engages that slide lock has broken inside the barrel. Is there a way to disengage that piece or remove the lock ? Does it pop out? I have been trying to find a diagram of the lock system to see if it is possible to remove the lock altogether with out taking the lens apart. Any ideas i would listen to Thanks

Any one have a successful model release that works for all stock photography sites. I really don't want to have to use 5 different releases for one shoot. Let me know. In the past the other sites really didn't care if i used a Istock MR. But now they do and thats cool I understand.

Mini Mac or a Old Mac Pro.

Currently I'm a PC user. I am tired of all the PC problems i have been having. And I am ready to move on to the Apple brand since it seems they always run better. My laptop is running 1gm ram 60 HD. and about 5 years old. Even trying to run a boost with at thumb drive is not helping. Lightroom takes about 3 minutes to load up. Most times.
Just really frustrated with the proformance and I can afford a new $1300 new IMAC (and wifey wants a new kitchen first). But springing about 600 for a apple might be do able. But do I go old or new? It seems the new Mini's are the space to be.

Looking at getting one or the other. I'm a PC but ready to graduate to Mac. Just want to pick up a used one. The Mini mac seem good but the older Pro Mac seem even better. Plus i can get one cheap on EBAY. Any suggestions. (going back to PC is not one) I would use it for processing raw images . My old laptop just can handle the load on LR2 and CS3.

Its quite impressive. Not sure where it would far in the world. It could change a few things thats for sure. As photographers here we see the signifance of the product or Idea. But a simple user might be stuck on a brand and not realize what going on here.
Could change the way we shoot. Take the apature ring of the camera and brings shooting in RAW a entirely different meaning. We could post process to the DOF that we want.
Could be a very cool produce with a pro lens.

Weddings can be fun. You have to be confindent in your self. A Flash is uber Important. Use a defuser (lightsphere). Read some and try to find someone to tag along with. Once you do one its pretty easy to figure out.

I have a light Sphere on mine. I would like not to worry about flopping around. Becomes a pain holding the flash head up. Anyone have a Cheap solution for this.
I was pondering a few ideas like a velcroing the head to the hinge.
Any ideas ?

Zenfolio Lab company is outstanding and FAST. Im not a fan of the home pages but the ability to sell images online and price them where you want is MONEY. Unless your a PRO web designer this is the site i would use.

Yea, Thats about what i had in mind.
You have a standard MR? If you could link on that would be great. I typically us the Istock because I rearly have time to upload to dreams and shutterstock. I just wondered if anyone is using MODEL MAYHEM ? Bikini shoots are fun to shoot but do they sell? Would rather shoot professional people.

. I had mine for little over a month and then it failed me. Leaked & completely shut the camera down.
The good thing is Pentax will take care of it. (takes about 4-5weeks)

I still enjoy the camera though its a fun little guy that is rugged enough for my family. And it sure beats lugging the K20d around.

1st Wedding. What I learned about my equipment.

Sounds like everyone have opinions on Equipment. If you are comfortable using the 50 . Use it. I love mine with a 540 fgz and Lightsphere. But I enjoy weddings. They are fun and people know your there to do a job and are mostly friendly.

Sometimes very small Weddings need leadership on what to do. So i become wedding planner and photog. And once Planner , Photog and Video guy all at once. I found that I learned I could handle the stress of getting all the important moments.

Fun Fun
