By "lowballed", do you mean that other Sellers are pricing their items 30% below yours (Undercutting)? Or are potential Buyers offering you 30% less than your asking price (Lowballing)?

Keep in mind that the market is a bit depressed due to COVID-19.

Yup, this was in my email a few days ago: https://getolympus.com/freeomd?utm_content=cta_06_E-M1_Mar...c_sub=68166654

At B&H, the 3 lenses cost a total of $5,347, so you get any top-of-the-line body for just $453. May as well get the most expensive one, unless you really want the Starry Sky AF feature that is currently exclusive to the EM1_3.

Everything I've seen from the 300 PRO is killer and looks like it could handle way more pixels than the 20MP sensor provides. I've also seen really impressive pics taken with the 300 PRO + 2x TC.

I think I also generally prefer a 4:3 aspect ratio.

From a functionality standpoint, the thing that would hold me back is the low-res EVF, although at least it is a decent size.

If a person looks at the system you've specified without any preconception of what m4/3 "should be", it really does seem a sensible and compelling option.

Item for Sale
Tamron Adaptall-2 SP 24-48mm f/3.5-3.8 (13A) - Includes P/KA Adapter

Asking Price
125.00 USD

Item Location
NJ (United States)

Item Description
Lens is in good condition, with obvious signs of use and light rubbing marks from previous owner on the edge of the front element. It is a sharp lens, with impressively even edge-to-edge sharpness, although I only have APS-C cameras to use it on, so I can't comment on its performance on full frame.

It is best at 24mm, and while the Adaptall-2 site notes the lens has a dip in sharpness at 35mm, increasing again at 48mm, this has not been my experience. I've found that sharpness gradually decreases as the focal length increases, although it is still good at 48mm. Overall I've found the 13A to be the best, most consistent film-era wide angle lens I've used, its main failing being poor flare resistance.

Included are 2 aftermarket caps, and a P/KA adapter, which allows the lens to perform as an "A" lens.

Many copies of this lens have scratches on the front element, due to the bulbous shape making it difficult to find a replacement cap if the original is lost. Fortunately the cap I have for it is low-profile and safely clears the glass.

Pentax-F 1.7x AF Adapter - I've got 2, pick which one you want!

Asking Price
0.00 USD

Item Location

Item Description
I have 2 of these, but only want to sell one of them.

#1 - Excellent condition all around. Works great! $180/shipped.

#2 - This one is interesting  Cosmetically it is in good condition. Optically it is excellent, except there is a weird... something... on the edges. I'm not the original owner, so I don't know what its life was like before me, but I wonder if it had been disassembled and something odd happened during reassembly?* You can see the detail on photo #6. Despite this, it performs flawlessly and is every bit as good as the first one. $80/shipped.

The first 4 photos are of #1, the last 4 photos are of #2.

So... pick which one you want! Both work wonderfully, and I will be happy to keep either one. :D

*If anyone has an idea, I'd be happy to hear it.

Pic #1, it looks like the highlights are clipped. I've shot in similar lighting and it is hard not to run into that problem.

Pic #2, I'm really digging the composition, and the mid-afternoon sun is providing really nice dappling beneath the canopy. The stray leaf in the upper-right corner is mildly annoying.

Pic #3, The composition feels forced, like you were determined to fit the gazebo in the frame.

The first thing that popped into my head was the lighting is not good. There is a flat, summer-afternoon look to it. A couple hours later may have made a big difference.

DA*60-250 Out of stock?

Keep in mind that the DFA 70-210, while I guess not optically superior to the DA* 60-250, is not a "star" lens. RIcoh has set very high standards there, and also "star" lenses are not based on 3rd party designs. The "star" for this range is the DFA* 70-200/2.8. So IMO what Ricoh said makes sense, and implies they feel the 60-250 is curently a "consumer grade" zoom, which is what the new 70-210/4 is.

I think what it really came down to for Pentax is it was simply easier to rejigger the Tamron 70-210 than it would have been to take the 60-250 and revise it cosmetically, fit a new motor (would that require an adjustment to the optical design?) and, well, revise the optics anyway because they needed the lens to do much better than the 60-250's 1:7 maximum magnification ratio.

The fact that Pentax implemented a Focus Range Limiter on the 70-210/4 provides insight into their thinking.
