So I took my 28-70 kit lens for a session the other day with my friend's toddler and infant. This is my first time ever photographing a baby or toddler. I have 22 photos at the end, but these below, I deem my best.

What Website Do You Use For Your Portfolio?

Hi Grispie. the blog is actually separate from blogger.com. I only added a link on my portfolio that externally brings you to the blog. However Format does have their own blog section but I've never checked it out because I don't feel the need to as I already have my own blog already. There is a free trial for Format, you can always check out their built-in blog that way.

Browsing your portfolio, I can also tell that your wildlife shots are legit, unlike mine which is from the zoo. You must travel a lot, you are a very talented wildlife photographer.

One of a few short sentences to why you love photography

I'll start off with one I learned from watching Tales By Light episode 3. You can post any short sentences of why you love photography, whether you thought of it yourself or you've heard or learned it elsewhere.

In photography there is no such thing as being the best. You are continually growing and learning and there are no limit.

Peak Designs Slide Summit Edition, seriously the best strap I've ever used. Much better than Black Rapid in my opinion.

Nope, this is my sister and soon to be new brother in law, I am just shooting this for practice and a free engagement session. They hired a legitimate photographer for their actual wedding.

I don't think I have one yet, but this is my best shot I've taken with my a7iii so far.

A strap like Black Rapid and Peak Design but without release buckles/clips

Thanks guys. I decided to go and check out the Peak Design Slide Summit Edition. it appears the locking mechanism is really stiff and has lots of force to push open, which is a relief. I am keeping the strap.

I'll start with a few of mine,

"In photography there is no such thing as being the best. I am continually growing and learning and there are no limit. No other are better than another, every photographer have their own unique identity by the way they visualize and capture time. It's not always about how skilled they are to photograph the perfect exposure, it's often mostly about the story behind why they captured the photograph. These reasons are the beauty of photography."

"To me, my best pictures are my worst ones. My worst pictures are what gives me the ability to take great ones. Without my mistakes and often poor vision, I cannot stem and grow into making my photographs into something beautiful."

Camera Brand Culture Shock (Pentax to Sony).

All of my Pentax gear are gone now. I am now almost a full fledged Sony shooter...

I've never shot full frame before, been Pentaxian for 9 years with APS-C only. K-2000(K-m). K-7, K-5, K-3, and having just recently swapped to Sony full frame, my first full frame (Still awaiting for the A7iii to ship). I've spent a lot of time in some of their community and especially the a7iii Facebook group. Wow, I have to say though, if there were such a religion called Gearheadism for Pentax and Sony only, it would be at least 75% be made up of Sony shooters. It's a huge jump from Pentax to Sony, not just camera-wise but community-wise. Being on Pentax forums for awhile, I can definitely say the community here contain a lot less of a gear addicts. Sony shooters, at least their full framers, are very proud of their equipment, expensive equipment. Now I am only comparing Sonyians to Pentaxians because I have never shot with CaNikon before. But wow... still, the differential between Pentax and Sony communities are quite substantial.

I am still awaiting for my a7iii with the 28-70 kit lens, having already bought a 70-200 f4 G. I've been researching a lot on the 28-70 glass and it is a solid performer, not bad at all. But from through researching, I also see that people talk down on this lens like it's the very ultimate omega wolf in the pack. From forum posts to comments on Youtube videos, they like bashing it and acting as if it's the worst thing to come out from Sony full frame lenses. It may be not as good in comparison to some other Sony lens but it's in no way bad at all, not at all from what I've researched! This lens is stellar especially for the price.

Last thing, they are rich! You'll only know if you ever become a Sony convert, I am done ranting here. Gearheadism. I guess I'll get used to this community. I mean I am a gearhead myself, not to the extremes though. Although swapping to Sony, I am going to spend a lot of time here because it's where I feel I belong most of the time when it comes to talking photography.

I go to the Dollar Tree and buy 4 hard foam paper boards or whatever they're called, then form a box with one side open, then boom, there's the product box.

Here's something I made from Dollar Tree papers. It's about 6 dollars to make as I bought 6 items to make this.

I was laying in bed just now and reflecting back on my photography, I've thought of something and needed to write it down quick. So I got up and ran to my laptop and quickly wrote down how I truly feel just now.

"All the times I've wanted to quit and all the times I've wanted to leave, there's no reason to anymore. I've seen the light at the end of the tunnel and I've seen the road ahead and not just the turn to stop. When you look at someone else's photographs and see the excellent work they've done, it's easy to fill your head with fathom and envy. Do not discourage yourself with negative thoughts. Rather use what was negative as positive and see the inspiration and develop the desire to become a better photographer."

Hi BirdDude. Glad you liked it. I totally forgot that on the EXIF setting, I forgot to remove my name. I'm sure you don't want to upload the pictures you've taken into Flickr and to only see that it was "taken by Dave Le".

And for the battery grip, I would recommend creating a wanted post here, Wanted Items - PentaxForums.com

The dynamic range of your landscape photos are amazing. Can I ask what post processing software you use? Photoshop? Lightroom?
