Another example why camera stores are dying

And that's why visits from a company rep (reresentative ) not just a sales man , is so critical, that's who advises them about end of line, closing out deals and helps his customers maintain stock relevance and stock levels.
Some dealers seem to get that, for example SRS in Watford had pre knowledge of the FF body and almost gave me the availability date during a long chat about changing my existing kit .

I though that once the full frame arrived the market for all our old film days lenses would increase but prices seem the same and availability is much the same as well.

Does this mean that these lenses particularly the auto focus and coupled apature versions have been found to be just not up to the newer sensor and body?

Why the lack of (or apparent lack of) Pentax-branded merchandise?

Why do you need a model release? If he is in public which as a flea market trader he presumably is you don't need a release even for commercial use, unless the frech laws are different?

Hmm, just read the link above, maybe you do need one, good luck with that,if he is like UK ones he won't be legit tax wise and won't want it

Let us know how you get on, for future reference for us all

Hi guys thanks for the warning, but neither book is any longer available in print and the pdf copies I made from html downloads from a site that has long since closed down, and the intention was to pass this info on not make money

the book by Mr Zeltsman, was written when he was in his 80's with the intention f passing on his years of experience not to make money like today's authors, and as far as Monty Zucker, there is load of free stuff on youtube etc .

if some one want to sue me then i'll cross that bridge when it happens, buts thanks for the warnings , hope you find the books them useful.

I have put in Drop Box for you to down load two pdf books, now old, but still relevant to those who take portraits and family group shots.

There is also sections on group and couples that should be of interest to those about to embark on the rocky road of wedding photography.

The images are obviously dated fashion wise but the principles of how to get images quickly shot still applies to this day, you go to shoot a paying client and they don't want to spend hours just to get one image, anyway download and if you enjoy please pass on.

regards to all,:)

Alistair

Bear in mind the shop in Switzerland has to resell your k5 and make a proffit so they buy at less than the market going rate for used goods,
Here in Bristol London camera exchange have two shops , they make no effort to hide that they look up average prices on eBay if you ask for a trade in ,then offer you less to allow for their margin on used goods resale

keep em coming try to be inventive and related to several photographers in a group or at a event of some type,

I will run a poll once we seem to have exhausted all the ideas and see what votes we get ??

perhaps a Clique, a release of photographers? Or a stop?

Twelve significant photographs in any one year is a significant crop' Ansel Adams
could be paraphrased as:-
'Twelve photographers is a crop'

Is there a collective noun for a event where there are lots of photographers?
I.E. a sports event or a training session where one would say there was the usual ********* of photographers at today's event.

Tear it off and throw away, it's disposable which is why paper sweeps exist, we change ours even during a shoot, their cost is built into our overheads for any shoot.

I think this thread has gone bit off line considering the op post ,but here is a thought since as far as I know we do not know what the mp will be of the Pentax FF [if it even exists], but its bound to be more than 36 mp this discussion should be referring to the A7RII which is 42 mp , more likely the sort of mp the pentax ff will be.
