True, but it took 1/3 of their reservation and most of their farmland. Covers some burial grounds too. I understand their name for the lake. Reservations are supposed to be sovereign territory. I question the legality of it myself.

My ancestors settled in what is now Elk County PA near Wilcox in the mid to late 1840's. Came over from Germany and Belgium to escape the political unrest of the times My great grandfather was the first county manage of Elk County. There is a small Catholic Church in Rasselas that they donated the land for and their names are on some of the stained glass windows. I haven't visited it yet. I used to camp at Allegheny State Park in NY quite a bit in my younger days.

1) The walnut crop for Otis and his minions is coming along nicely.
2) Neighbor's maple tree putting on it's usual spectacular show.
3) Second crop of raspberries this year. Second crop is not always a sure thing. Not as plentiful as the first batch but enjoyed all the more because of that.

Will you sell your current camera when the new K comes?

AF performance and image write speeds will determine it for me. Since I still have my Mamiya/Sekor 500 DTL from some 50 years ago I will not sell any particular camera that I have.

I have a K1 and K1-II at the moment too so this would be a wildlife land sports camera if it fits that spot for me. Also a K5-IIs and a K3 on the shelf.

Over the years I have donated a few cameras for a worthy cause so I am always keeping an eye open that way.

I really want to be president. Not because I could do he world any good, but for at least 4 years I could fly anywhere in the world and the flights would always be on time. No lines or security checks either. Air Force 1 is a sweet ride.

When I got my K1 in May 2016 I got the 28-105 with it. It is much more than a "kit" lens.

Sorry to have offended you. Since this is the first time I have mentioned it I didn't realize that I was persisting. I have no idea how much this camera looks like the final version. For what it's worth, the first experience I had with 3D printing was in the mid 1980's. It has been around since the late 1970's. Pen and ink mechanical drawings were already on the way out when I joined Kodak in 1974. Too bad too. I was really good at it.

CAD is not a new concept. I think that Tamron was the first company to use CAD and put in their advertisements that they did use it It saved man years of labor doing monotonous calculations by hand. Greatly lowered the cost of the lens and made good zoom lenses affordable for the masses.

As to the crack, there is a highly magnified photo above showing the lower right of the screen. Post # 1179. There is an interesting little dip in the channel there in the area that people have been arguing over. If you look closely you can see what looks like a crack in the main body of the camera on the inside of the curve where the gap between the screen and the camera body changes from horizontal to vertical. Somebody must have dropped the camera.

This camera is, no doubt, and engineering model. Probably custom made in a model shop. Since everyone knows how to make a flip out screen it is not necessary to have one on an early engineering model. They are testing other technologies and are more interested in that than a flippy screen. In another life in the ancient days I used to test engineering models for a living so this is where I am coming from.

FWIW, I even see a crack in the body in the area that everyone is speculating about. What is the significance of that?

About 4.5Kg of Drenthe Heath Sheep wool fleece.

Sent to me from across the pond by our very own member Titia who raises them. They are a very old breed with some 6,000 years of history to them. My wife is into things like spinning and weaving etc. She belongs to a spinning guild and the wool has already been divided into 60 samples so members of her spinning guild can get a chance to work with wool from a very rare and very old breed of sheep. Kind of weird that hanging out on a digital imaging where some of the latest technology is discussed can also lead to working with some of the oldest technology we possess.

Info on what Titia is doing can be found here:
