Also make sure you have the latest Flucard firmware update. I feel it helped stability with my Flucard on my K3II.

Just checked the Pentax USA site, and it looks like you have to go to the Japanese site to get it:

Great how-to. I had this in mind when I wrote about this, but never got around to doing it all again and making all the pictures. I have a picture here somewhere of the position of the lens release mechanism, I'll add it here.

Thanks for posting this! My own K-5 hasn't had any problem yet, but I guess it's only a matter of time, considering how often I change lenses.

Not exactly an easy job, but should be within the abilities of most, given a little patience. And *much* easier with this guide! :)

Excellent. I like the use of photos to keep track of where the screws go. Often these are of different lengths and it is impossible to remember which goes where.

The only change I would make is to use JIS (Japan Industry Standard) cross drivers instead of Philips head screwdrivers. The screws are JIS headed and a Philips screwdriver can strip the heads.

Question: Is the old C clip metal or plastic? I'm curious if it is metal if it is cutting through the shaft of the button or if it is plastic and the clip breaks.

I believe it is standard practice to replace the body weather seals whenever the body is opened however if you make sure the seals and appropriate channels are clean and the seals are properly seated, unbroken or flattened you should be okay.

Street photography does not have to be restricted to "P&S" style using a cell phone...yeah, I think I need some basic photography skill....
The only reason I respond is that this is a "critique" section that people like other's opinion and feedback. Obviously you just want to show your picture - how about posting it in "Post your photo" section?

If you really want to show the picture as "the girl on a bike passing a group of protesters", I think it might work with something like this: a little girl riding on a bicycle is approaching from the left and looking curiously at the protesters and wonder what it is all about with nobody else (except the girl and the protesters) in the picture. The focus is the girl, the protesters are OOF. Again, framing, color, focus, perspective are all important to getting "just-a" picture versus getting a 'great' picture.

I don't really get what you are trying to achieve in this photo. I gather you want to show that the girl (riding a bicycle) is watching curiously a group of protesters; was that something interesting about the girl's facial expression? or the protesters looking at her (are there many)? IMHO, first, your framing (portrait orientation) of the photo is not helping at all in conveying your message; second, there is nothing to draw the viewer's attention here - blown highlight and black and white don't help either.
