Nature Blue Tiger Butterfly

I was out shooting some cars at a race track when I noticed all these butterflies kept zooming past me. This beauty decided to land right in front of me which means I had to take a step back to get the shot without startling it. This was the one time I would happily praise the Auto focus of the K3 mated to the Da*60-250. I have had plenty of times when the focus would decide not to focus on the subject at play, this time it did and I love it! The grass in the background creates for interesting Bokeh and works well for the colour contrast to the butterfly on the Green grass/ flower. I only cropped the image, I didn't bother with any PP as I like the natural look that has come out. I did attach my Instagram crop/ edit as well (again didn't really see the need to edit too much)

Cityscape Sydney HDR's

I do know of Photomatix, I have used it in the past to do HDR but I only had the Watermark edition (Trial) and just never really got back into it. I think I may have to re-download or even invest in it as it's becoming a lot more interesting to me. But I guess you can say that these are not bad at all for In-camera HDR which has been reviewed as pretty average or crap even. In past attempts at on camera I have found it didn't work out great - But I seem to always do it Free hand, I think I'll start bringing my tripod everywhere
Thanks for sharing comments and viewing my pics :)

Thank.you for your comment, I think if I had a tripod the halo effect may have been a lot less or not even there. I took hand held because I didn't even think of doing hdr and didn't think tripod necessary but the light was all over the shop so I opted to try hdr
I don't think the k3 does any aligning

I thought I'd give the In camera HDR a shot whilst down in Sydney over the weekend, the weather was at first very miserable and then all of a sudden the clouds started clearing and nothing but blue skies :) I really dig the B&W HDR, there is some post processing with these but not much, very very slight adjustments to fine tune to what I think worked well. All hand held so there is slight fringing. Feel free to CC

Nature Noisy Miner

Was out testing my da*60-250mm at the Botanical Gardens trying to Capture some Butterflies but this Noisy Miner was my only entertainment, these tall vertical stalks were full of Bugs and the Miner was enjoying some good snacking. I just loved how it could contort its body so much to be vertical like the plant
Straight off the camera (some cropping) - beautifully sharp and dreamy bokeh

The level of awesomeness made the decision a very very tough, extremely pleased to see some of them had basically no editing whatsoever, this shows true talent in framing and capturing at the right settings. My personal fave is number 30, extremely lucky and great capture. I went 1, 21 and 30

nominated, great composition. Having been to the Teton's I know the grand scale of them and this image captures it perfectly. The design of the Roof on the barn from the angle you shot also mimics the Grand Teton itself

That building is a Dubai Icon, without it the image would not be the same IMO. This is a great moment to have captured and the photo is technically excellent. I nominate this

I've looked at this photo about 30 times today and I've decided I nominate this, can't fault the technical aspect knowing that the timing would have been critical. I'd imagine the bird stayed there no longer than a few seconds. I also like the fact the camera in the image is a Pentax :)
