PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing Item for Sale
Sigma 18-35 F1.8 Asking Price
380.00 USD Item Location
Nashville, TN (United States) Item Description
This lens was mounted to my camera for years, it was my workhorse and absolutely my favorite glass on APSC. I have a Fuji X-T2 and believe me, the IQ is at least as good as my XF 35mm (or 23mm F2), the bokeh is more creamy with the Sigma and the colors are just perfect. The reviews about the autofocus are right. When it is wide open it is not guaranteed that it catches the right focus. That's the worst thing what I can tell about this gem.
This lens is in good condition. The glass is clean, no scratches, dust or anything which would affect the IQ. Some signs of wear on the hood and on the rubber. I couldn't find the back cap after we moved, but I swear if I find it I will send after the buyer.
Please let me know if you have any questions or you need more pictures of the lens or just sample pictures what I took. Are you the original owner of the item being sold?

Hi Friends,
I always loved this forum and for some reason I feel I have to share my journey. I bought my first DSLR (K30) in 2012. I bought and tried several lenses but when I found the Sigma 18-35 f1.8, it quickly became my workhorse. When the focus was accurate it took amazing shots, but yeah... as you know the Sigma 18-35 sometimes can be very inaccurate. I didn't plan to switch from Pentax, I lived together with the slow/inaccurate focus and I loved photography.
In 2018 I saw a Fuji XT2 body on sale (~$800). Quickly did some research and I felt, hey, this guy can fill the hole what I miss from Pentax. I bought the body with a 23mm prime for start and I sold my most beloved Pentax 15mm, 77mm and my Tamron 70-200 F2.8. And then I was shocked: Fuji was not a true extension to me. I bought more lenses: 35mm, 18-55mm, 16-50mm, 16mm, but even if I got the superfast focus and supersharp lenses my pictures were very different. I didn't enjoy the results and I was getting to use my gear less and less. I cannot really explain, Fuji is very good, I cannot tell anything wrong about it, but hey, after postprocessing I didn't feel the satisfaction, my pictures had "no soul".
This week I saw BH has some discount, so I ordered a Pentax K1-II with the Pentax 24-70 f/2.8 from BH (and probably I will buy the 77mm again  ). I will receive it on the next week and cannot wait to see whether we will be good friends or not.
Any of you have a similar story? Switch to something and then back to Pentax? Share it! :)

Pentax DA 15mm F4 Asking Price
280.00 USD Item Location
Nashville, TN (United States) Item Description
I really loved this guy. It is in good condition, the cap shows some signs of wear (just painting). If you are on the edge to try the 15mm, I can definitely recommend it. It was more fun then I expected.

Try the K3 from lensrentals and use it for few days. I rented the K3 II and I decided to not upgrade from K-30. Overall, my pictures were not significantly better (I mean the difference doesn't worth the price for me).
My experiences: If you use screwdrive the autofocus is faster, the body is more ergonomic if you attach bigger lenses (like sigma 18-35), the body is more quiet when you are shooting. I use a metz flash (AF52) which worked with the K3 better (officially the K-30 is not supported by this model).
But honestly I didn't find more reasons to upgrade from K-30. I know what you feel I wanted to upgrade too, but (un)fortunately the K-30 is too good value.
...rent one from lensrentals and you'll see it worths for you or not.

Hi Guys,
We are in SF area for a few days, but I realized today that the charger has been left at home. Any of you know a shop where I could buy a charger for my K-30? We are in Oakland now, but very flexible, so if you know any shops around SF, don't hesitate to share with me :)
...I have no AA adapter grrr.......
Thanks,
István
