Regarding settings and so i developed my skills in prehistoric era (before digital cameras was born :-)) so i tend to stick to a work-flow where i want to make the picture right at first shot. ( composition, camera settings etc)

you are absolute right and it is not nice to see such ads in my comment field, that must absolutely be possible for the adminstrator of the forum to rebuild the site so it is clear and obvious that the ads are not connected to the user.

Hi,
I'm new in the forum and posted a thread yesterday. When i read my thread when i was not logged in unwanted ads pop up, only in my message box. this i do not want! How to block or take away? I don't want other people who might read my threads to be exposed to advertise that could be interpreted to be sent from me!!!

Hi again,
thanks to all good advices on the road to a choice of new SLR. As many of you highlighted good Canon lenses are not cheap and very often they still don't have image stabilizer! that was one thing I learnt from the time when i used a Pentax K10 with stabilizer that worked with all lenses, even my old M and K lenses. That was great experience I like to be mobile and take photos with slow shutter speeds in low light conditions. So at the moment i think i will go back to Pentax...but one disadvantage is of course the crop factor. I do like shooting wide angle and it is hard to find good lenses in the range 15-20 mm (fullframe 35 mm).

cheers!

Pentax K3 ii vs Canon 5D mark ii

Hello out there,
I'm new in this forum but have been taking photos since a couple of decades... Mostly with Pentax cameras and Canon. Now I'm in planning phase of changing system again. I have been taking pictures with Canon 50D for a couple of years and are planning to upgrade to 5D mark ii but the thing is that for the same price i buy this second hand I can buy a brand new pentax K3 ii and I really love my old pentax film cameras (K1000, MX) with a bunch of sharp lenses and think it could be nice to have a newer digital SLR also. Now to the question. How is the K3 compared to Canon 5D (with except from full frame)?

I mostly enjoy to stay out in the field especially in a coastal environment with tough weather conditions and I do like to take photos in natural light with no flashes. not matter if it is summertime or wintertime. So the durability and relability of my equipment is very important.

Can anyone advise me in this matter?

cheers!
