DxO has a Black Friday 50% off everything Nov 22 - 26. Online Store - DxO

I'd decided to pass on the upgrade when it was U.S. $69.99. Now it's U.S.$44.99. ($59CDN) But still, apart from the improvements to Clearview, there just doesn't seem to be much I'd have use for in it. If it included support for the 55 - 300PLM, I'd be more inclined to take them up on it.

I'm not seeing any. The U.S. KP offer will come out to somewhat less than it goes for in Canada, but that would come with a 1 year U.S. warranty only.

Endangered species alert! I sat on this bench to change lenses and it felt more comfortable somehow. The other benches all look like this but are plastic lumber substitute. This one's still real wood. SSSHHH! Don't tell Parks and Rec it escaped!

It's a worthwhile point. The 55 - 300 plm has been out since 2016 and still doesn't have a profile, and the coming 11 - 18mm might not get one either. (DxO can be used generically and make manual geometric distortion corrections.) If your current body and lenses have profiles, and you like the software and feel the price is affordable, it's well worth having.

Heavily cropped, and not the best bird picture on here by a long margin, but it was handheld at 300mm through two panes of glass and a black mesh screen in crummy light. Full credit to the 55-300 plm and Pentax IBIS.

These are somewhat cropped. The mistake I keep making when I use the FA77 is being too close to the subject.

Here in Canada, men who are fluent in French are far more common than men who can quote Shakespeare.

Take the Chaucer first if it's permitted. The rest of English literature flows easily after that. (Alright, not Beowulf.) I do realize that the likelihood of anybody actually needing this advice being on here id vanishingly small.

Multidisciplinary liberal arts : so profoundly enriching yet so hard to make a living and such a luxury these days.

The upside is that after doing a year of Middle English, Shakespeare reads like modern text. (Admittedly not my most recent acquisition... but I paid for the courses, so...)

The first Limited is a gateway drug...

The 21 Ltd is worth considering. I've never used it, but it seems like a less specialized, more generally useful focal length - also possibly less distortion than the 15 ltd. You could take a few shots with the 18-55 WR at 21mm and see if you'd be happy with that - or you'd really prefer wider, and you still have the 10-17FE.

I'm thinking along the same lines. I have the smc DA 15mm and often use the FA 50mm f2.8 macro as my second lens when hiking. The wide angle 15mm isn't always the best choice for landscape. Sometimes a narrower angle emphasizes a subject and makes a more pleasing composition. I like to have both options.

I now have the 55-300 plm, which is a wonderful hiking lens, but adds some weight, so I've substituted the HD DA 40mm for the FA 50. The 55-300 plm is WR; I'd suggest keeping your 18-55 WR for a while as an WR option in case you find yourself in (or want to shoot in) inclement weather . When you're absolutely sure you won't need this, or anything in its range that the 40mm doesn't cover, that's the time to let it go.

I have the smc (Starburst-making Mind Controller) 15mm. Do you want that feature? I like it, but bear in mind that it does it fairly easily even at wider apertures (f5.6, f6.3) and you can't shut it off.
