That would be great Doc! :)
I did manage to make my own as described, but I had to make new metric threads in the PK part of the adapter, not so easy considering the thickness of the adapter ring.

Lighthouse in action, moon on the rise. Was actually waiting for northern lights to appear, but turned 180˚ a shoot some pictures of the lighthouse behind us. I have previously posted a picture of the same lighthouse shot in daylight.

I have had the exact same thought - tell a story. We have a Lancaster crash site nearby - R.A.A.F 460 Squadron Lancaster EE138. It does something to me everytime I drive by, pictures have been taken, just need to tell the story.

That also puzzles me, many of us carry a bag full of lenses with a 1:1 cost/weight ($/gram) ratio, why care about battery capacity when an extra cost and weigh a fraction of all the other stuff we carry with us?

I haven’t heard of aperture block issues on the K-70. Mine is from December 2016, 14.000 clicks and counting. I’m not worried.

The M42 Super Takumar 200mm f4 has been praised for itís astrophotography capabilities.
I sometimes use the DA*300 on my K-70/O-GPS1:

But it all depends on how deep you want to go, perhaps an eq mount/telescope is a better solution.

I bought a D-LI109 DC adapter for my K-70 on eBay, I use it with a 2 cell LiPo 8000mAh battery when I'm out all night doing Astrophotography. The adapter can be bought with a power supply as well: K-AC128 D-DC128 AC power adapter charger for Pentax K-50 K50 K-30 K-R K-S1 K-S2 | eBay

I have had my K-70 since December 24th. 2017, 13779 clicks so far, not worried about aperture block.
In relation to battery capacity, I just bought an extra battery. If more power is needed I can borrow the two batteries my daughter has for her K-S2 :)
Since I do a lot of astrophotography, I needed a "power pack", not something I intend to carry around.
It's a 2 cell/7,4V 8000mAh LiPo battery with a D-LI109 DC adapter bought on eBay: Battery D-LI109 Peplacement AC Power Adapter DC Coupler D-DC128 for Pentax | eBay

I shot these with my K-70 (6000x4000), itís not a K-1, and the prints are not 3x4 meters, but the guy who made the prints for the trailer said the quality of the pictures was more than what is neede for the size.

If you shoot raw in PEF format, there could be an issue with the Windows(?) photo viewer. Try *.DNG instead (or jpg)

I didn't have my glases on when I checked the options panel... :D

Exactly, that would be perfect!

A minor thing, when you set f.ex exposure and aperture, it does change the settings on the camera, but you have to re-read camera settings to change it in wifi Commander.

I’ve just tried it again Andrea, I installed it on my new computer (I owe you an answer: no problems this time).
Tried the planned shots, I had to find my K-70 manual to figure out how to shoot timed bulb mode :)
Since I plan to use either your wifi commander or Adams tether software (wifi vs. USB) for astrophotography, I would like to have an option to skip the dark frame delay when doing long exposure shots, I’ve disabled the long exposure noise reduction on my camera. Instead I shoot the dark frames manually.
Would it be possible in a future release to specifiy number of exposure for planned shots instead of having to create f.ex 100 similar exposures? (Astrophotography :) )
All in all it’s looking good!

I got mine with the 18-135mm, later I’ve bought the 55-300PLM and the DA 50mm f1,8 (plus 6 other lenses).
I would do it again :)

What I’ve noticed from the few videos I’ve shot is, don’t use SR.
Otherwise, I’ve not had any issues. But, as you also state Robert, if I want to shoot a video, I use my iPhone.
