after a long time I am updating my ebay price charts. Finished updates (the other lens series will follow step by step):
Pentax F*
Pentax FA*
Pentax FA
Pentax DA*
Pentax DAL
Pentax DFA
Pentax DFA WR
Pentax DA
Pentax DA WR
I created four complete new charts for:
DA 1,8/50
DA 2,4/35
DA 2,8/40 XS
DA 18-270
Info: The new HD lenses will have own charts, and will not appear in the charts of their SMC-Twins ...

Yes, please ask them.
I still cannot understand Pentax.
Ok, if a K-r, K30 or K50 still has a crippled K-Mount, itīs a political decition.
But all K5 and K3? Hey, they are or have been the top body of a brand which wants to cut off a bit of the Nikon market!
Why dont you do it? It is, like I already wrote, only a few cents or dollars.
From the *istDs to the K-3 Limited I own a lot of Pentax DSLR.
Do you think I would have bought less when the price is 1500 Euros instead of 1490 or 900 instead of 890?
I think that a Full-Frame will come this year (crossing fingers).
Ok.
But what is a FF body without lenses? Nobody will buy a FF camera for a DFA100 only.
So please give us, at least with the upcoming FF a full compatible mount. Then we can try out our cam with the old K- and M-series in the vitrines
And you can be sure that we will wait for a more complete FF "digital" lens line up.
But I will not buy a FF-Pentax only for using "digital" Tamrons or Sigmas.
Even if you would bring us HD-WR-versions of the FA-limiteds, itīs not enough.
With a FF-DSLR we NEED a full working mount for the old 20/24/28/35/50/55/100/120/135/200/300 ... while waiting for new FF-glass.
(sorry for my bad english)

I also have different old SLR, but not one of them can compare to my K-5.
Please Pentax, uncripple the K-mount.
Itīs only a few Cent or Dollars, and will help us (old) Pentaxians a lot. And if there will be a FF-DSLR, you must not be afraid that you do not sell your FF-lenses.
Because there are nearly no lenses available, and upcoming lenses can more than the old ones (flash, AF, ...)
Dear Pentax, DSLR for 1000-1500 Dollars CAN have an uncrippled mount without making them really more expensive ... ;)
For me the uncrippled K-mount is more interesting than a FF-DSLR!

In the next weeks I will add a few more ebay-charts.
I think I have enough information for curves for at least 10-15 lenses more. Mostly Tamron and Sigma.
Then there will be ~290 charts ...

... and the K-7, K-x, K-r?
Pentax should give, like other brands do, this feature all users of any Pentax-DSLR.

When you have to change to an external, I think you should look for P-TTL-flashes.
I have the Pentax 540 FGZ, but the german Metz 58 is cheaper, fully compatible too, and is very strong.
Here a chart of the guide numbers changing while zooming ...

... two eyes. :)
For all the lenses in my charts I open the auction, look at the lens, and only if I would bid on that lens too, I insert it into my charts.
But! Only on ebay-Germany!
The prices in Germany normally are a bit higher than in the States ...

My max. ISO normally is:
*istDs: 800
K10D: 400
K20D: 800
and I think, seeing the links above, the K-7 could reach my quality at 1600.
That would be great!

I dreamed of a silver lens, since Iīve got a zeiss Triotar.
Optically worse, but the look and the mechanic is interesting.
Now I love my new FA 1,8/77 silver.
Especially for this lens I bought a K200D in silver ...
But If you want to shoot through windows, your fishes or snakes, I think it is better to use a black body and a black lens because of the stronger reflections of silver ...

Yessss.
They have the plans, the calculations, itīs a 24x36mm, it is optically perfect.
And with the experience (good or bad) of the DA* 60-250, I think a DA*80-200/2.8 could be done by Pentax in a few weeks ...

I too think you have BF.
I own the FA 2.0/35, the DA 2.8/40 and F 1.7/50. They are all very sharp.
The DA 40 I often use when I know will meet photographers with other systems ... ;)
... they have nothing like that.
Indoor I only use the 35 and/or 50 mm, because of the 2.8 of the DA40

Thanks.
I think it is good to see what 12 mm really are, because I first had problems with this wide angle.

When I have made this comparism I first was shocked.
But then I remembered the quality of a pre series 50-135. It was shocking too.
And now? The DA* 50-135 is my mostly used lens.
I think that Pentax will be able to give us an xcellent 60-250!
