The 600mm crop cost a lot of pixels but gained depth of field.
Here's the original field of view with the 600 on the APS-C K3ii.

Can't sleep, So why not play with some lenses.
Here is a shot made with a FA100 Macro lens compared to the same shot (cropped/resized) with a P645 300mm zoom plus a 645 2X and an adapter on my K3ii.

5 inches away vs 5 feet away.

Darn, forgot that f/11 with the 2X is really f/22. Should have opened up a little.

Tried out the 2X on a P645 150-300mm at the same front door location.

At 300mm (600mm), I couldn't get all of this guy in the frame :)
Not a good pic, just playing around.

I have a second hand 645 2X in the mail.

We had drizzle and clouds all day. Not good for shooting, especially with a MC7 2X tele on a 50-135. Just had to try it.
Manual focus on my K3ii with the SDM lenses, autofocus with my older lenses.
Took 50 or so shots out the front door at various birds but the squirrels just wouldn't give up.

Off-camera Flash with the Flashpoint radio wireless.

Here is one of the FEW shots I was able to get that came out OK (I think).

K3ii and DA*50-135 @ 90mm wide open
+MC7 2X.
Overcast shade + off camera fill flash.
Cropped to about 2/3 original.
135-2X

The squirrels are an easy and predicable target to practice on.
I guess for 300mm it is pretty sharp. Especially for a zoom. I think I got my money's worth, with shipping and tax lens cost over two hundred bucks

Using it on the K-3ii is a pretty tough test.
The K-3ii APS-C sensor only uses the center portion of the image circle (a good thing) but the sensor pixel pitch is less on the K-3ii (3.88um) than the K-1 (4.88um) or the 645Z (5.32um).
That's some small pixels.

So much to learn.
I just learned I could spot and floodlight with Elements 8.
I replaced the image above.

Still in 'Learn' mode with this K3ii and various lenses.
This one was shot in manual with a broken P645 150-300mm Zoom on an adapter. Optics appear perfect, just no autofocus.
Got it really cheap and I can't use autofocus with this one anyway.
Set lens to f/8, kicked up the ISO1600 and added a fill flash at about 25% from the left. I need to get another so I can fill from both sides as needed.
Still don't think it's as sharp as my DA*50-135, but I was shooting at 300mm.

Cropped a little. Added some PP fill from the right.

I think you need a method to transmit TTL info to the Godox as a slave for that to work.
A Godox set as on camera Master, or a radio.

Maybe,
If the Godox slave was set to a low power the TTL function using the popup would still control the exposure.
If the Godox was set high then all bets are off. It's gonna fire.
Without a Master control it's a one pin flash.

I've only had (the Flashpoint version) for a couple of days and used with the radio.

My K3ii doesn't have a popup and I haven't tried it with another camera yet.

Seems well made and consistent.

The Flashpoint is Adorama's rebrand of the Godox.
I see you are in Poland and supply might be an issue.

On the cheap end I just got a Flashpoint from Adorama.
Their Mini for Pentax., and a transmitter.

Still learning about it but it seems to work great. Not WR, and only works with the Godox/Flashpoint wireless.
Or maybe an optical slave?

The last pic before I lost the light.
Had to go to f/2.8, 1/80" and ISO 1000.
Didn't cut the flash down (from the right) and that side came out a little hot.
Depth of field wasn't deep enough @ 2.8 to get the tail in sharp focus.

Little feller does look happy though :)

Received a Flash and transmitter from Adorama to fill in shadows in my shady front yard.

Off camera flash is neat :)

Set to 1/16 power, 8ft away, 3 feet high, about 45 degrees off to the RIGHT
A little too high and cast some shadows on the white fur.

Shot with a P645 150-300mm zoom on an adapter to my K-3ii, on a tripod.

Slight breeze caused some fuzzyness, maybe, but still doesn't seem to be quite as sharp as my DA* lenses.
Should have cut off the dead petals.

Thanks for the kind comments.

There is probably an easier way to process an image like this but this is what I did:

Opened original in PS Elements 8 (I really need to upgrade)
Opened a second copy.
Using level adjust I darkened the second image to show the excessively highlighted pixels.
Moving about the original, zoomed WAY in, I located the offending pixels and using the Replace function in the Healing Brush tool I selected pixels of a nearby light color and replaced the white ones.

Sometimes as small as 2 pixels, sometimes larger.

Periodically I closed the dark copy and refreshed it

Looking at the result on one half of my screen and the dark frame on the other half.

Little pieces of trash (and the green leaf) were replaced with compatible sections with the brush.

The foot was full of trash :)
I even altered the shadows cast by pieces of trash.

I saved the image often as -1, -2, -3 etc.

The full size image had a lot of pixels and this took some time.
Her are the dark frames for the original and final image. Still have a couple saturated pixels, between the mouth and shoulder.

Love the rifle sights on the 500 :)
Don't have one of those.

The 300mm might not receive the best reviews, but for anyone thinking about testing out a longer lens, I'll say it again,
How bad can a hundred dollar lens be?
And if you don't like it, sell it.
