I just noticed that the light meter would meter 1/60th once and if I keep turning it off and on, the exposure slowly drops to underexposed, stop by stop. What kind of circuit problem could that be?

Pentax ME light meter acting up

So. My Pentax ME, which I dearly love is failing me. The light meter's previous problem was that in low light, the light meter always read underexposed. I was told by Eric that it could be the Asa resistor. I cleaned that out. My technician said he cleaned out the circuit in the prism. Yet, he handed me a working camera, and the day after, it stopped metering right, mainly in low light. A lightbulb, turned on, in the middle of the frame would meter 1/1000th and the same lightbulb towards the edge would meter underexposed, all at f1.7 and 200iso. Since "repairs", the light meter, when turned on, would read 1/30th, and quickly drop to underexposed, under low light situations. I don't understand what's happening to the light meter, and if anyone could help me out, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

Light meter issues with Pentax ME

So my Pentax ME is acting weird. Well, the light meter. Under bright light, it appears to function okay, and it meters like it should, as the scene becomes darker, the light meter goes off the correct reading. At one point, what would be a 1/60ths with 200iso and f1.7, is metered as underexposed. I can't figure out why, because even under very good indoor lighting, it still meters as underexposed. It shoots up to 1/1000ths and overexposed when exposed to bright light. Also, the fact that the meter is center-weighted is highlighted, because a lightbulb on the center of the scene would meter as 1/1000ths and when moved to the side of the screen,it would meter as under-exposed. Advice would be really appreciated. Thank you.

Hahaha! My friends keep trying to convince me to go digital. I just might, in a year or two! Film is getting expensive.

Atmospheric haze? Nothing like that here. I think an evened-out light leak affects it. I'll get that fast film asap, along with a CPL. Oh Lord no, not digital. I like film. Thank you, again! :)

Marine Drive was pretty lonely that day. Too much negative space? Sorry, it's just my second roll of film.

Mine definitely needs mirror bumper replacement. I figured it out with the spot of the light leak, but can foggy-sort of, washed out images be caused by light leaks? Fujicolor C200, Pentax ME SE, smc-m 1.7 50mm

I have a Pentax ME SE which I received recently, and I was wondering when, in the production run of the ME camera, were the SE cameras made. Does anyone know? body sn: 1406285 lens that came with sn (smc-m 50 1.7): 3605374

I found great solutions for fixing color in Photoshop, but getting rid of the problem itself, is difficult. I need help there. Is it the scanner quality?

I can't remember shutter speed and aperture exactly, but numerous shots ended up with washed out colors. Photoshop's auto-color easily fixed it, but :(

I really hope it's the lack of anti-halation layer. The lens has a bit of haze or fungus forming a ring around the edge. I doubt that's the reason though. I'll post as soon as I get the new set of photos back!
