Record video externally

I use an external monitor on my K-5 and K-3. They work great. As far as I have been able to find out, the only video from the HDMI is mirroring what would be on the built in screen. I don't believe there is a way to turn off the screen overlay in video mode.

I have been using On1 Photo Raw for over a year and like it much better that Lightroom. It is much more flexible and powerful than Lightroom. And you get all the plugins you mention integrated into the software.

Just for the heck of it I'd put my 30 and 50 1.4 on and get in a low light situation to see how it will perform in a challenging situation.

This was a shot I took on vacation earlier this month in Myrtle Beach, SC. I got lucky because the insects where I live had just about packed up shop and left for the year.

Just making sure I was not the only one seeing that. I agree. No way at all Pentax would overlook such a critical detail.

Second on the K-5 and K-3. Wonderful camera bodies and a good upgrade from K-30. I've owned them all. Still have the K-5 and K-3.

This was taken on the K-01 and no fringing was not removed. But it was shot inside so the lack of coating was not n issue.

Here is a photo I shot with the 135 f2.5. Shot on the K-01 f.2.5 ISO 100 1/25. I am satisfied with the sharpness of the lens wide open.

I don't know about the K70 but on the K50 you can set the raw/fx button to enter focus select mode and use the front and rear e-dials to move the focus point. I wish I could do the same on my K3

Yes it most certainly can. I just use mine the other way around. I use the grip battery first with the body battery as my backup.

Yes it can be set to slave mode. Just press and hold the mode button, use the left or right button to scroll through the modes. SP mode is used to trigger it in PTTL mode, S1 is used trigger the flash when there is no pre fire of the master flash and S2 is used to trigger the flash when you have a pre fire go the master flash (PTTL Mode). In S1 and S2 the power output is set manually. For detailed directions reference page 14 and 15 of the 585EX manual.

Photography's Triangle

This concept works when you shoot a few shoots you have to do post on. In the world of wedding and event photography it does not. The time spent in post working photos would make no sense and deliver vary erratic results. Then we come to the area of flash. If you are trying to preserve the ambiance of the scene and use flash you had better be really good with the use of ISO. This is where your concept falls apart.

No. more light equals less noise. Take a photo at 3200 ISO with no flash and then the exact same photo with flash and tell which one has less noise.

Need to check your info. Aperture and shutter speed have nothing at all to do with noise.
