They could be hot pixels, stuck pixels, whatever.
The hot temperatures in this time of the year aren't helping.
But, as I said, it's nothing to worry about.

Some PP software automatically disregard those, if you shoot RAW.
Just like Adam said, no big deal at all ;)

Silly HD D FA 150-450mm question on zoom

There's another factor - apart from crop factor and PP cropping - and that is the fact that focal length numbers are only true at infinity.
Generally, the closer you get to your subject, the "shorter" the FL becomes, due to the way the zoom and focusing works.
There were some threads about this WRT the 60-250, IIRC, where this phenomenon was quite apparent.
A picture of an oven was involved.

All two (and of course the third) lines are still above the polynomial trendline... whatever "smoothing" they decided to give it.
One single piece of data doesn't mean anything :)

I don't do barbecue (those things that look like spaceships), but I do grill (and we call it barbecue here :p)

Chicken: long cooking time, high above the coals, few coals, dying fire in the back, turn frequently.
Pork: medium cooking time, medium height, few coals.
T-bone (bistecca alla fiorentina): short cooking time, only turn once or twice, low height (almost touching the coals), lots of coals, lively fire in the back.

Since a grill is open, if I see grease starting a fire on the coals, I simply scramble them with the poker to extinguish it.

Hi all! LB reporting for duty.

Here in Florence we've had three day straight of heat... temperatures in the 38C range, and not much relief during the night either.
I've been mashing my K-01 shutter quite a lot (mostly inside museums, so that I can see some details later at home), and found out that my GF likes my K-30...
Have they invented bacon ice-cream yet?

I just keep the files on the camera until I back up my main data HDD, then I format the SD.
That way I always have the files on at least 2 different mediums.

Pentax K-01 (mirrorless by Pentax) 921K dots LCD
Pentax K-1 (latest DSLR body by Pentax, mk. II is the same) 1037K dots LCD

Panasonic GH2 (contemporary to K-01) 460K dots LCD, 1440K (or 1533K, conflicting informations) dots viewfinder.
Panasonic GH5 1.6M dots LCD, 3.6M dots viewfinder

Sony A9 1.44M dots LCD, 3.68M dots viewfinder

That's going to be one of the next big improvements for mirrorless cameras.
It also follows that using an LCD viewfinder ("loupe") is a poor substitute for a proper viewfinder (except perhaps when greater magnification is needed).

I believe that advances in this field will be plentiful, unlike optical viewfinders, where a balance must be struck between magnification, coverage and luminosity, and there's no escaping physical limits.

No, but... there was some ingenuity in complicating other people's lives back then... like using wires of the same color for neutral and live  or wrapping the wire ends in that old, crummy fabric-like tape, then finishing the job with some cellotape for good measure
Oh, and single-core wires... you bend them once and... *snap*!

No wooden houses here... and it really couldn't be messier than it already is. Some day in the future I'll probably overhaul the entire house... but it means using a demolition hammer, since the conduits are mainly of the old, non-corrugated type... the kind that tends to crumble inside the wall, and inside which you can't thread any more wires because of this.

Don't tell me... have been hacking the whole morning just to put two bedside reading lamps, and installing a multiway circuit (2 3-ways and 1 4-way) in place of the old switch for the chandelier...

The pre-existing electrical system was a nightmare.

Here in Italy we have the Engineer's Contrition... "Mio Diodo mi pentodo dei miei peccatodi", meaning "My God I repent for my sins".

"It's Mio Dio mi pento dei miei peccati" in proper Italian, of course, without diodes, pentodes and cathodes ;)

Currently using K-01 and K-30 (both 2012-2013), albeit the first one much more than the second - just love to use LV for MF lenses (I know, only the latter is a DSLR).

IQ? exceptional, I don't feel the need for much more... even in museums and places when "they" allow you to take pictures but "without flash, without tripod, without anything".

I've taken pictures of paintings in dark churches, and those compared very favorably to the same pictures taken with full frame Canon cameras, and available on Wikimedia Commons at full resolution.

Recently I bought a - cheap - 4K TV and started using it as a monitor, retiring the old fullHD one... and seeing more of the data in the images made me like them even more... there's so much information that one wasn't getting before, that I think sometimes the answer is not upgrading the camera, but just exploiting its files to the full.

So, yeah, IQ-wise I'm liking them a lot.
