Square in Center of LCD Screen During Video - K5iis

I can turn off the grid, etc. - can the white square be turned off too? Running it on a flat screen for a presentation and it is distracting.

Thanks,

I found a bit of a work around. When it is set to AF-C it is always in the center, but if you set it to AF-S you can move it to one corner.

Thanks for the input. I'll be spending some more time on the editing. I am also getting a ColorMunki to adjust my monitor. I did shoot these in RAW, so I can still make adjustments. Editing is definitely not my strong suit, buy I am trying to learn.

The sign was just part of the old building's loading dock, and we liked it (anything old and rustic).

Thanks for the input regarding the leg positioning.

Thanks for the feedback...my daughter was not a fan of them either

I bought a 5 in 1 reflector (48x24) and used the silver side for all of the images except for at the barn. For it I used the white side as the sun was really strong that day. Had my younger daughter running the reflector and she did a great job.

My daughter asked me to take her Senior Pictures, so we went out to various locations around our home on several different occasions. This is one of the those times where you don't know what you don't know. Looking for some feedback on the pics, editing, etc.

I'll be out of contact for a few days, so won't be able to reply for a bit.

Thanks in advance.

A quick pic of my dad's old Ford Tractor. Still learning, but thought it turned out interesting.

Have a lot to learn with my lighting setup, and photography in general (as it is only a hobby), but I thought this shot turned out nice. I like this shot, although it is underexposed (and I chose not to bump it up in LR) - I seem to prefer most of my shots that way.

Not sure if you got your answer or not, but...

Silver Box is power supply - all the strobe units plug into that. Should have a cord similar to a desktop computer cord to plug it into the wall. Should also have a synch cord that has a two prong house type plug that goes into power supply and then to the camera. Mine has a hot shoe adapter. I have strobe stands that have umbrella attachments built in.

Mine is a 1000 and I use it all the time - great unit.

Might also want to check trigger voltage.

I think he is referring to the fact that you can correct it in PP when shooting RAW.

Just curious if keeping the Auto Focus set to "Constant" is asking for trouble down the road. I never had my K10D set to constant, but recently read about having it set to constant in order to capture the image in correct focus using the back button instead of using a half press on the shutter button.

I expect to have this body for a long time (enthusiast) and don't want to screw myself by using a technique that isn't recommended.

Thanks

I have a K10D, and for MOST of what I do, it works great, but it is severely lacking in high ISO performance. I do most of my shooting with an FA43 and my other lenses are kit zoom lenses (18-55 and 70-200).

So...the same old question...go with a great lens or upgrade my body?

Either way, I will be going for a used item in the marketplace.

Thanks.
