Thanks. Exactly what I needed. Just something so I am not carrying a loose camera to horse riding and my sisters house.

Does there exist an old school type hard leather case that stays attached or even one of those more modern semi hard case where the k-1 sits inside for easy travel ? I see them for the D750 but it seems a bit small for the body.

Krispy Kreme one day only and they way underestimated demand. They may make more. Like a chocolate Rene on inside and red with dirt debris on outside.

Wear the seatbelts

But sometimes maybe does not matter.

So my daughter is at my sisters horse farm and she volunteers at a neighbor farm around the corner. About 2 mins by car. So does this friend of hers ( older but they have horse interests together), as well as her mother is my daughters school tutor. She also lives a couple minutes away.

So she leaves the farm and a mutt going warp factor six around a curve in the wrong lane hits her head on. She was 19. He was 53. They both died. Neither wearing seatbelts.

Given the physics of such a hit in a 2007 Camry the seatbelt might not have mattered. But it sure would not have hurt.

What a selfish jacka$$.

Iím glad he died too. Misdemeanor death by vehicle is probation in NC. Would be just waiting on the next victim if he had lived.

---------- Post added 02-19-21 at 08:19 PM ----------

Clarification. The volunteer farm is 2 mins from my sisters house. 3 hours from me.

Clarification. Since the shut downs it is not unusual for my daughter to be at my sisters horse farm. She switched to online school in March 2020. It was much safer for her to be in the country and also it has been a once in a lifetime chance for her to do horse stuff 7 days a week. Plus, the above mother is an elementary school teacher and has been a great tutor for her all last summer.

I have not messed with camera in a while due to health. I go to mess and both my 540fgz and 360 donít turn on. My 200 fg does. Iím perplexed. I understand one dying but two is not possible.

I have tried all different batteries. To no avail.

Can anyone help?

Photo Organization

It might be different for me as I only take family stuff. I have a “year” folder on a hard drive. Btw I should say I used to keep all photos and just kept buying hard drives but I have since gone back and deleted extras. In the year folder I have name of camera and date uploaded. Unless it is special like birthday. That’s so I can sort video and pics. Once I PP the wanted keepers I put as JPEG into a year summary folder. At the end of the year I make a photo calendar, year photo book, Christmas card, and fridge magnet.

I’m currently working to pair down 5 years that I got behind on as well as making hard drive copy that will not be stored in my house. I always came through with the calendar but the book not so much.

Very cool pics and I much enjoyed. I went with my daughter and some friends and spent the night at South of the Border, SC, for the big eclipse. We then drove to ground zero. It was in the top 5 most amazing things I have ever seen. I can't even imagine seeing the stuff on a regular basis like you do.

Question regarding in depth reviews/consolodation

I'm sure many noted I put my final APC stuff on a bundle. As noted in the off topic, I had already gifted the less desirable stuff to a friend that was making a lot, then went poor to start a church. He lost interest but the interest of his daughter was piqued. So they got the K-5ii and the K200D. My final collection (for now, I have plenty of time for astrophography, bugs, and the mountain leaf change (a private joke, blaaaaag, never understood why ppl go ape over that, at least they get OUTSIDE).

The Three Amigos. I have standard 77 and 31 shots twice a year for family and/or friends portraits. I got the 43 late and never put it into hard service. The FA50. I like the smallness of it and it does well, lightweight, on the go pics. The new 150-450 I got for horse pics. That is a HARD lens to master. Not that I have mastered any, although I have been happy with my 31/77 birthday portraits to be as good as I am going to get for a while. Oh, and the K-1 kits lens. Excluding the 150-400 that all fits in the over the shoulder bag that came with the K-1.

I could see getting the new *50 just based on the reviews. But not really sure what I would use it for except cats.

I gifted my K200D to my good friend who had a drug addict brother in law steal his Canon. I found out they put it in a drawer. "not fast enough for action". I sent them this huge book I forgot I had on the K200D, which had plenty of action. With it I sent a K-5ii and 7 APS-C lenses. I hope they find their way. The Pentax Way.

I can tell you it is not the equipment. I've taken online classes, read books, my sister went to school for photography and gives advice (Army school, like a year). Every time I think I've got a good shot going on I come here and are humbled. I have been practicing lightroom and raw pic taking. But at the end of the day I want to move forward with the FF. I won't be buying another camera. I won't be in LBA mode like that *55 I forgot I had it. Totally unused.

Well, I laugh out loud. The Pentax got bigger and bigger, and my daughter got faster and faster. And with all the problems noted in other posts, I got slower and slower.

So, I was looking through my drawers (my now FORMER friend, that was supposed to help my cats while I was in the hospital robbed my house, so I've been mentally and physically looking for stuff).

Old school. My second camera. Canon Powershot ELPH SD600. I can't remember but this little gem has quite a following. I don't remember if it is because of physical optical zoom or because of the metal body.

Weighs couple of ounces, can't tell it is in the pocket. Old school for quick and easy story telling. (I do a book for each year)

So, I had a lot of time to read (was in hospital) but could not post from my phone.

The in-depth reviews say that although the HD DA 2.8 40mm limited redline was designed for APS-C, it
functions as a FF lens (paraphrase).

I also have the SMC DA* 55 1.4 greenline. Clearly, this is an APS-C lens. At least that is what I thought I read.
But I can say for indoor cat portraits it exceeds the DA85* (I sold, saw no reason to have that, plus the 77 limited).

I'm interested in moving forward only with the lenses that truly enhance the K-1ii ownership. I've sold or given away
(mostly given away) all my early on LBA lenses to someone that really appreciates.

I have the FA50 1.4 as a point and shoot.

Both lenses are obviously, "paid for."

I like them both. So I guess my question is are they worth keeping, in regards to what I have already.

Any lenses I buy in the future will be the modern recently released. I have no plans to buy that huge 50 1.4.

Please give some thoughts.

My surgeon wanted me to get a stationary bike. A couple years ago. I just got a nice 6 speed bike (I have an in house trainer thing from years ago). I'm glad they were sold out of the carbon fiber one I would have gone for it. Like 2 ounces.

I need a 62-65 Nikon Nikormat prefer non working, and cheap.
I think it is an F mount.

It must say Nikormat on the front.

It's for a present and will be turned into a clock.

What is a good starting point? eBay is not satisfying.
