You could lift the shadows, here done in Photoshop with the shadows/hightligt adjustment (first sample). And add contrast, here done with Topaz Clarity (second sample).

In my experience some batteries have lost a good amount of charge already when you purchase them. They have been stored in the shop for too long. Perhaps because the demand for that type of battery is low nowadays.
I agree with Aaron28's suggestion of removing the battery when not in use.

The theme for the official PentaxForums photo contest for December, 2020 is: My Hobby
The topic for December is "My Hobby". Show us a photograph that illustrates one of your hobbies, be that baking, boating, car tuning, cars, fishing, sailing, racing, weaving, painting, decorating (e.g. for Christmas), model railroading, stamps, etc. Should your hobby happen to be photography (!) then we do not accept just any photograph; we want a photograph that illustrates you going about your hobby such as your set up, your gear, your hideout when shooting birds or wildlife etc.
Click the button below to submit a photo for the contest (do NOT post in the thread you're reading now).

You can use the DA 1.4x AW AF converter in APS-C mode. This will retain autofocus. That will give quite some reach, but at the reduced APS-C resolution , of course.
Per the Ricoh web site the full-frame converters A 1.4X-S and A 2X-S are compatible. They don't support auto focus, though. I'd suspect that the 2x converter will not work well due to the 2 stop light loss.
The hard-to-find Tamron 1.4x teleconverter is full frame and supports AF. I have one and it works rather well. But I have not tried it with the 150-450 zoom, so I cannot speak for that combo. But check the reviews in the link, some members have actually used it with the 150-450.

We reviewed Topaz DeNoise 5 way back when (you can read the old review here).
I've just run the new AI version through its paces, and it is even better. I especially like how it preserves detail. It is almost as if it is able to extract the detail out from within the noise.
I can highly recommend this new version!
