I sold my boxes but kept some lenses, I'll look forward another K200D or something similar, as I don't look for high Mpixels but
camera ergonomy and toughness (almost all my shots are MF with FF SMC fixed lenses).
Meanwhile, I can only shot with my Samsung XCover 4 which can do good job in daylight conditions.

I'll look for this lens, never heard about it, thanks :)

All then ones I found for 70 to 90€ are using M42 mount system.
Is the adaper to K mount expensive ?

---------- Post added 12-27-19 at 01:49 AM ----------

Oh ok, it's only 2.5 € and can be fixed on the lens :)
The F/2.5 are very expensive but the 3.5 are not. Probably better for day shots than night ones if you don't want too much ISO noise.

Nice but you will have much better sharpness with cheaper FF fixed lenses ! Zooms, even top-edge ones can't be as good as a 24mm or 50mm fixed good lens.

Nice but not fast enough. And you can improve it with lightroom to supress excess of white (top of the photo). Take this as positive advices but you also need to rotate it to have perfect verticals. You should have made some steps back to have more crop range :)

Merry Christmas to all from France where we have few Pentax users,
most individuals or even pros use Nikon or Canon, they know nothing
about Pentax cameras quality and compatibility with so many lenses !
Just because Pentax don't communicate here and that's not a bad thing :)
I had to sell my K5-II but kept some nice lenses (FF) and will come back here
to post top shots after buying a cheap but great K200D or something close to K-5
but with less Mpixels.

Will Ricoh-Pentax ever create k-mount mirrorless camera?

mirrorless with electronic viewfinder could be great for video as said and would not be so big when using lenses as my Cosina auto MC 24mm which is small and light (MF but this is not an issue as it's close focusing lens). They could indeed design a good compact photo-video body but with another line of smaller batteries.

I guess you are right with the temperature cause. Where I live is quite hot all time, mainly in summer it goes from 27°C to 40°C and temperature may also impact on battery function. Should have bought a white bag for my camera instead of black and brown^^
Perhaps putting some glass fiber layer or any insulating layer in the camera bag may help too ? (aluminium sheets can do the job too)

Vivitar series 1 70-210 f3.5 (tokina model) focusing issue

Thanks for correcting me about this hexagon, I'm gonna digg in my user manual as I never realy taken care about this status item of the bottom pannel :)
Never ending learning^^

-- Seen, the hexagon appears generaly at the same time as the center square pops ;) But it is harder for me to take care of the bottom pannel as I MF and am very focusing the viewfinder center, my eye is not wide angle enough XD (plus I use a 1.2x magnifier which makes it even harder to switch from center to bottom of the VF)

There is no green hexagon on the K-5 II :p

I configured my camera for MF, and the red square only appears for 1/10s when I'm half-pressing the shooting button and the subject in the center of the viewfinder is seen as been in focus, this works perfectly with all my prime lenses. Not using multi-zone focusing confirmation, only the center point.

I can try as you say on a plan subject, maybe a building, but as you also said, this lens is made for close manual focusing (macro purpose), there is only 1 or 2 degrees rotation of the focusing ring to adjust focus on subjects from 200m approx. to infinity which makes it very hard to be accurate. A fix for that would be to stop down to 5.6 or more but then you loose all the benefits of this f3.5 fast zoom. The V1 I had once tested worked much better as it had a real macro and non-macro mode.

Nice overall abstract of all other answers, I agree with the scratching risk too. I'll digg the gel stick method which IMO seems the more efficient when you are able to see the particles (if have a good tool to inspect the sensor visualy). Wet method can work fine but almost always leaves streaks and touch parts of the sensor where there is no particles to remove...

Vivitar series 1 70-210 f3.5 (tokina model) focusing issue

I've deeply analized some shots where on the same focusing plan, left part of the pic is sharp while it goes blury from center to right, this is not the case at all shooting range but it's clearly IMO an internal optical issue, maybe a lens has moved from its place, as the lens has a shock on the filter thread I'm pretty sure it has fallen one day and a part moved. I take no risk in dismounting this lens as it has now absolutely no value as is. But idk if I'll succeed, I did yet fail in re-assembling a Kiron model, maybe this tokina is simpler to disassemble and re-assemble ?

(at least more documentation on this model is available on the web)

TY, this seems to be the best system, do you need an air can or can it work with a blower ?

Vivitar series 1 70-210 f3.5 (tokina model) focusing issue

Thanks for all your answers but I think none realy relates precisely the issue I have, in the viewfinder I have a very sharp image and get the red square spotted (K-5 II), but the results have nothing to do with what I've "shot", and usualy the resulting focus point is much closer or further than what it should be... :/ (not a softness issue either)
I'm not talking about infinity focusing, let's just say an object 500m far from my lens. See what I mean ?
It looks like if the focusing/zoom ring is to loose and moves while shooting. I'll try with tripod, lens horizontally oriented and delayed actuation.
What is weird is that I hold very firmly the focusing ring while shooting so it should not move. My guess is there is an internal issue, like if actuation was making an internal lens part move even if ring is held firmly.

BTW I'm going to get a SMC M 200mm f4 prime, I'm really disapointed (or unlucky) by all zooms I had low performances.

Only my Tokina SDII 70-210mm is reliable but very slow, IQ starts at 6.7 (if you go under u get softness and lots of CA).

The only very good zoom I had was the SMC m 80-200mm zoom (with the 8 blades diaph) but sadly the on I had had haze and was unusable over a certain amount of incoming light. So it went to garbage too.

As I know a zoom with IQ as a SMC M 135mm f3.5 (on its full focal range) is out of my budget I'll just stop using and buying zooms atm.
