Uploaded thru Flickr. Much clearer (to me) at 800 x 530, vs 1400 x 900 thru Pentax Forum website

Ok, So I’ve uploaded the picture to Flickr. How do I make it so you can access it?

---------- Post added 03-06-19 at 07:45 AM ----------

So I uploaded the photo to a Flickr account, but out of time this morning and will have to do it tonight.

Very little sharpening done to the original image, as it it is already very sharp.
Not trying to view it at more than 100%.
Dunno about color mgmnt settings.

I'd post a full size sharp image thru a link but dunno how to do that. Seems I'm not the only one having this issue and as Joseph464 says, I think it's a Pentax forum issue.
Not saying it's not partly on my side either. I'm using my Mac photo software to downsize. And yes, I totally understand that Jpeg loses loss of quality but don't think it should
be as much as is happening when uploading to here.
So, thanx everyone for your input, greatly appreciated. I will poke around for a different photo software to use and see how that goes.

The downsized image was very soft before uploading. But when I uploaded a sharp un-resized image (sharp before uploading to the forums) it also became blurry on here. It was a full-size untouched file that the forum somehow allowed me to upload here.

Here's the latest.
The forum guidelines say it must be no larger than 1400 width / 900 height, and no larger than 1.00 MB.
My orig pic starts at 4929 x 3264 and 7.2 MB. So...when I downsize it to the 1400 x 900 allowable size, it drops the MB size down to 527 KB
and at that point the pic becomes wicked soft/blurry, even before I upload it to here. Guessng that's part of the issue?
Also, I uploaded a "original", not-adjusted pic to here that wassharp and it still arrived 'here' very soft.

I've tried posting some photos in the monthly photo contest. So i've resized them to the max allowed by contest rules, they look fine when i resize them
but when I upload them to the photo contest, i preview the post and the pic(s) are now very soft/blurry. Suggestions?
Thanx.
Also, then it says on here max size 900 x 1400...pixels? Inches?
