K1ii with Sigma 120-400. Have been shooting K3. Like the ability to crop, did notice slower clic speed.

Flash Trigger Voltage for Film Cameras

Here is a url that lists voltages to many flash manufacturers. They speculate if the flashes would be safe for use on a Canon EOS. Voltages greater than six are not recommended on Older Canon cameras. If you scroll down your Sun 322 is listed with a very high voltage. Others will be more technical, but this is a start.

Binoculars - good for birding ?

Very good advice from posts above. Most of my birder friends use 8 by 42. I purchased a pair of Leupold binoculars several years ago from the Bargin Bin at Cabelas. They have retractable Eye Relief and work great for me. I always have them in my car and find them very handy if I am driving a wildlife area. They are great for looking out long distances to identify birds and animals I may wish to photograph.

Here is a link that may be helpful.

I am of the opinion that the phone people are quite annoying. I gave my daughter away a year ago, and my neighbor took smart phone video of most of the wedding, then posted it. What was she thinking! So if a neighbor's daughter was getting married, would you break out the 70-200 and start firing during the ceremony? Just curious how many do this.

I do agree that the original comment from the event shooter was disingenuous. After reading the comments here that followed, I am interested in turning the conversation in a slightly different direction.
When I was a newer DSLR amateaur photographer, I would bring my camera to all events that I was attending as a guest. Choir concerts, pagents, even weddings. I soon realized that I was being a little disrespectful to the event shooter. My gear now stays home. It is less of an issue with all the smartphone cameras that come out at any event, but I still feel that a formal event like a wedding, leave the big gear at home.

Again, I am not saying I am right about this, I was just interested in what others think.

I have had one for a couple of years. The 1/16 power has been the most useful power setting when using it for butterfly and small insect pics. I shoot in manual mode, using the dine 100 2.8, and the the FA 50 macro. Of course you will need the appropriate step up ring to fit your lens.
