I looked the instruction of the D-BG2
Pentax D-BG2 Grip Repair - Page 2 - PentaxForums.com

After Step 1) it sucks at me. Only the Front-Cover I could release. The Back-Over gives no move. I suggest some screw or clip prevents the opening. I ordered the exploded view, but wasn't able to find the part wo is responsible for the holding of the Back-Cover.

@YeOldePentaxian

Gives this Exploded View also instructions how to disassemble the Grip? I need no parts, I only need to clean the Pins!
Their is a great difference between the grips. I saw couple of pictures

I was able to get the Back Part of the Grip. But I have no movement for the Front Part of the Grip. It is fit in a way that I don't see an option to lose it. I am very afraid to Bend or Broke some plastic parts.

Hello

I have a problem with one of my Original Battery Grips D-BG5. 2 of the Pins are blocked within the connecter. The spring isn't probebly strong enough to push it out. First I tried to use a electronic contact-spray "Kontakt 60" without success.

http://www.iscience.ch/~filechute/filechute/IMG_3014.JPG

Then I loose all the screws (25pcs in total, top & bottom) but I not able to open the case. Is their a Repair Manual available or a video of a disassembling?

Maybe someone is able to help me?

Confused ?!? SMC Pentax-DA* 55mm F1.4 SDM - declared as FF by Yvon Bourque

THX a lot for all the response

I uses Pentax since 1975 and what I always love was the (light-weight) of their body. I have very much old glass and still use it. Also an SMC Pentax-A 1.4/50mm.
I loved my Super A & LX an never could find a friendship to the film-area body. I owned a Z-1p and I really used it maybe for only 50 films

The K-1 is a heavyweight compared to my K-3 & K-5 bodies and I refuse to add another 750gr more for an new HD D FA* 50mm F1.4 SDM AW. If the new has 1.2 it would the weight be OK, but not for an 1.4

Therefore I look to both the SMC Pentax-FA 50mm F1.4 oder the SMC Pentax-DA* 55mm F1.4 SDM. The first is very compact and tiny, 1.4/55mm some more impressive and still a lightweight compared to the newest 1.4/50mm

Which Lenshood will be the best to fit on the 1.4/55mm & K-1 and will not cause vignettering? I don't want a rubber one! Will this fit Sensei 58mm Screw-on Tulip Lens Hood LHSC-58 B&H Photo Video

Hello

In his eBook about the K-1 Mr. Yvon Bourque declared that the SMC Pentax-DA* 55mm F1.4 SDM is FF compatible on the K-1
In Chapter 4 you can read; The Image circle is compatible with Full Frame sensor

I am a little bit confused about this statement! What is true?

Urgen: Metz 58 af-1 Flash Bulb Replacement Instructions

Hello

Yesterday I found an Instruction with a dozen of pictures but it is completely in Italian Language

Metz 58 AF1 “Zoom ERR”, una riparazione ora possibile | NeD project

The part to remove the head isn't 100% clear, I have tried to translate it but all the online translators are useless!

Hello, to open the head of the flash you have to bend it to 90 degrees, the side caps of the head slide back from the head itself, but first you have to remove the piece of plastic round on the side opposite the gray button of release, if I remember correctly is pressure or glued. Once the round one has been removed, help yourself with a screwdriver and slide the plastic back towards the display to understand, on the opposite side do the same thing but the button that controls the block of the parabola does not remove, you have to press it and slide the cap in the same direction as the previous one. Removing the caps is easy, I remind you to leave the flash off and without batteries for a few hours before putting your hands in, the capacitor could be charged and the voltage is around 400Vdc, the caps are still very hard to slide.

Hello

I have also an issue with an 58AF1. Not the bulb but the Zoom of the Reflector sucks if it goes to 85 or 105 (From 24-70 it works fine. I think gears is not fix anymore and I want to try to fix it myself.

I also check some german forum (DSLR-Forum.de) but their is no illustrated manual, because the Database hast modified and all the older pictures are not visible anymore.
It only occurs only with older models (48AF1 & 58AF1) which are produced from 2009 till 2011. All the newer models AF2 have a revision and doesn't have this issues/problems of the Zoom Reflector Gear

Who has any information?

THX for your answer!

What was the reason cactus stopped the stacking of triggers?

I believe i have the latest version for Pentax (1.0.5 ?!?) Is a pity that you can't see the actual version of the firmware on the cactus site, you always need to connect a V6ii the the Updater Programm to see infos about the Firmware :-(

I worked about 1 year ago with a normal AD600 and a X1T-N. It doesn't work reliable with my K-1 and I had to swap to my K-3 to finish the shooting. When I look to the thread in the different forums I saw that only the K-1 and K-3ii ist listet? No older Pentax or the newest K-1ii :-(

Is the Pentax Solution complete Bugfree or more in a ßeta-status? For me it is strange that I their is so less information about Godox XPro-X and Pentax!

Hallo

I have seen that Godox has new Remote Trigger which Support HSS & TTL for Pentax and the new AD600Pro

Are their experience with forum members which uses this combination?

At this moment I uses HSS/TTL Flash only with my cactus V6ii & Speedlights from Metz/Pentax. In Studio I use the Einstein 640 in Manuell Mode, because PCB doesn't support HSS/TTL.

I had hope that PCB brings new Firmware/Hardware which will integrate TTL/HSS, but I think after the pass away of Mr. Buff this will not the way. The latest Firmware is more as 5 years old
Maybe I would switch in near future to Godox if the Experience ist good. I read not much about Godox & Pentax, the most reviews are with Canon/Nikon.

A second questions if their would be a way to combine the Godox XPro-P & AD600Pro with Metz & cactus v6ii and then they all support HSS?

Hello

From my 50-135 is one of the Gold Sockets of the "SDM Contacts" broken. This Part is only fixed with 2 screws and easy to replace. The Pentax Service Center here in Switzerland refused to send me this spare parts, I need to send the lens to repair it for a fix price for about US$100 :-(

Does some knows the Partnumber of this Item or maybe a source to buy it? I haven't found anything till now!

Hello

I give up the use of the cactus v6ii with the Pentax K-1. It is not reliable. Once it works, once not, once pictures are to dark or highkey.

At this moment I use an an Pentax AF360 as trigger to fire my Metz flashes remotely using the Master/Slave in P-TTL Mode, this because Metz has also some issues using a Metz flash as Master on a K-1 :-(

Why stop Sigma & Tamron built lenses for Pentax?

Hello

What is the reason that Sigma & Tamron stop building lenses for Pentax.

About 4 years ago I bought a Sigma 17-70 HSM Art C lens and was very happy with it on my K-3. But this was probably one of the last lenses with the Pentax K-Mount.

Because of the Lack of new lenses from Pentax itself I am really pissed off, to get new "high tech" glass. I have a lot fullframe "old glass" for my Pentax bodies and this works for me, but they are mostly all screw-driven and not SMD and no HD-Coatings

The last lens I bought, last october, was an Samyang 1.4/85mm! I am not intend to pay US$ 1000 or more for an 20 year secondhand Pentax 1.4/85 only why Pentax is not able to supply us with new stuff. Every new Pentax Lens Road-Map has delays for new glas on it. I had hoped that the third-party lens manufactures will jump in this market but it not the case :-(

So the most dislike part of my K-1 is not the body from Pentax, but the lack of new glass on the market :-(

The Nikon Lens Ring is part of a set Hama Part Nr. 317/02, the Body Ring is missing

Maybe this help me to find the missing pieces!

Doesn't matter. The Unit can be turned 180 degrees because the "Mount Holder" is the same on both side. The problem is that I need to find the correct Adapter for the Body and the Lens
I have one Adapter for the Lens Side of a Nikon-F and an Adapter which is nothing more then a distance ring of about 8mm thickness. The last is show on the picture bellow

Hello

First I had only an Auto Bellows for Pentax which works fine.

Then I decided to buy an Shift/Swing/Tilt-Bellow. I found one from HAMA, which is identical with Spiratone and Kenlock. It is probably built in the beginning of the 80. It came to me not completed, not mounts, only 1 Distance-Ring and no Manual

I have no idea what kind of Adapters I need. I need 2 of them one for the Body side and one for the Lens side!

I found some information in the web but no details about the mounts. On the pictures show on the article below are exactly the same as
I think I own the version with the "46mm dovetail", whatever this means ?!?
So I suggest i need the following mounts, but I can't find any info about this "46mm dovetail" :-(
- 46mm dovetail to Pentax Body
- 46mm dovetail to Pentax Lens
Spiratone (aka Hama) Bellows Master SST with bellows lens

Who is able to help me to order these 2 mounts?

K-1 ii Upgrade - New Logo - What does this mean

So on the market will be 3 "K-1", a little bit confusing
1) The Original K-1
2) The Upgraded K-1 with an "K-1" Logo on the Top Cover and an identical SR-Logo on the front
3) The Original K-1ii with an "K-1 ii" Logo on the Top Cover and an SR-Logo on the Front

For me the SR Logo on both the K-1 & K-1 ii looks 100% identical

What will happen on the secondhand market? A lot of people want to try to sell their K-1 as an Upgraded K-1 ii because their is no visible difference? Then we can speak from K-1 fakes! :-(

Hello

I read the PressRealease about the Update for US$ 550

The change of the logic board should be OK but i have a question about the following!

"Additionally the current SR logo on the PENTAX K-1 MKII will be replaced with the new PENTAX K-1 MKII logo"
What does this mean? Will their be a complete new metal-based TopCover with the K-1 II fixed milled or will their be an Sticker only with the Text "K-1 II"

Any ideas
