Godox XPro radio trigger and a small TT350 (even does PTTL )
Otherwise it works with the Q on camera flash and a cheap YongNuo 560IV (set in slave mode). (this even does above 1/250 sync speed if using native lenses or the original Q-K adapter )

F135/2.8 and some action
Being a really short 2D1N trip that was hastily arranged, I did not want to get too bogged down with camera gear, so I took the FA35/2 and F135/2.8 with me.
The 135mm would work decently as a short tele for some triathlon shots that I would do.
The thing was.... would be the adapter combo actually work.
AF was set to AF-C with focus release priority and slow multi frame shooting.
I really wanted to relax more, so I skipped the adult events and only did some coverage for my kids who were participating. A7307703 by pinholecam02, on Flickr A7307710 by pinholecam02, on Flickr A7307789 by pinholecam02, on Flickr A7307800 by pinholecam02, on Flickr
I think it worked decently as to be able to give me some photos and not resort to pre-focusing which I'd use more on the K1.
Since AF-C and related settings is not what I am accustomed to, perhaps it can get better with playing with the settings more, but overall, I think its ok for use.

No, perhaps I over complicated the explanation which just shows that the adapter FW needs to be written and tweaked to get to even where it is now. 😃
The adapter works well in most cases. Just a bit of shutter lag with the 50/1.4 (but.... I also just realized that during my trip, I had changed shutter release priority to focus instead of release, so it might be partly the reason too, as I did not experience this as much prior to this setting change)

Thanks. :)
I'm really just a pinhole cam in terms of being a photographer.
ie. Endeavoring to do the best that I can with my basics rather than always thinking that the gear I use is too lowly for me.
I would think firmware (of the adapter), so a timing process. (so good that you brought it up and I should sound this out the Monster Adapter on their FB page)
There will bound to be some lag since the camera needs to know :
1. AF button pressed (with associated AF logics and preconditions like release when AF lock = disabled; AF = locked / or no; etc)
2. AF motor stop (or moving when AFC, face lock, etc)
3. Read aperture size and close aperture and then shutter.
etc..
To be "safe" from timing screw ups, its always easier to add delay times between states (eg. shutter release after aperture closed from 1ms to 10ms for example )
Eg. People can live with slow shutter release, but imagine the uproar with aperture always out of sync when taking a photo. ---------- Post added 02-19-2023 at 09:49 AM ----------
I think its the time you just take the (not that cheap ) thing you bought and go out to relax and take photos. :D
Don't overthink it.
There won't be a perfect camera and even with a K1III, I shudder to think what the price it will be at given camera prices nowadays. (I'd still probably buy one, but really needing to gulp down the expense)
I have therefore never bothered with analysis paralysis and just take the gears out for practical shooting which to me is the best real world review. :D
Just did a paid event 2 weeks back with the AF adapter FA35/2 and with strobes. Even for that, an the low light indoors (and kids), the combo did reasonably.

Yes, I see that it's now prone to flare in my case too and I have also seen this being commented on the Monster adapter FB page.
I have not had the time to try flocking the internal of the adapter to see if it helps.
To me, so far, this has been the biggest drawback of the adapter.

Was hoping K1 gets a mention for the price, performance, landscape features and usability in the field.
I feel that there is a over emphasis on the specs.
Even though I have a faster more accurate AF A7iii, it really does not handle as smoothly in the field shooting landscapes, especially in the dark hours before sunrise and just after sunset. ---------- Post added 02-03-2023 at 03:53 PM ----------
I actually have some issues with what was claimed in that video.
Practically, the LCD is usually only used in odd (often low ) angles and/or mounted on a tripod.
If the light is good, usually the tripod is not used (unless its a long exposure shot)
When the light is good, there is less often the need to gauge exposure with LV.
Its really very fast to snap a ISO100, f8, 1/250 shot and check exposure on review (and snap again for desired exposure )
So the "LCD is not as good when sunlight is up" argument don't really hold strongly (in good light)
Low angles, then EVF or OVF is the same since the shooter is limited on how low he/she wants to lie on the ground to use them.
When its long exposure (often in lower light), then yes, one does not want to reshoot too much to check/gauge exposure and thats where LV with histogram and highlights/shadows indicators come in really handy.
But then the absence of very bright sunlight makes using LV straightforward.

IMHO, just get the Sony A7iii or IV.
Don't bother with 'baby steps' into an apsc system as the size difference isn't that big (nor the weight )
You also avoid another set of lenses when you move to FF.
Why Sony?
1. Adapters
2. Monster AF adapter (since you have Pentax AF lenses)
3. 3rd party accessories
4. Video (if you want to venture into this even a bit )
5. AF

Thanks.
Eye and mind opener for me.
Glad I made the trip.
Did not realize that the culture has so many similarities to the Chinese one, down to the religion, celebration of Lunar New Year and even some words sound the same (or sound the same as some of the southern Chinese dialects).
There was so many photo opportunities just cycling around the town, finding markets or the more touristy spots.

FA50/1.4
I took the plunge again to use the A7iii with Monster Adapter and the FA50/1.4 as my only AF lens (the other a MF Laowa 12/2.8) to a short cycling trip in Vietnam, to see how far I could get with it as my only lens.
Well... it could potentially screw me over with poor inaccurate AF, slow response or some other issue. A7306814 by pinholecam02, on Flickr
I found great joy shooting with the FA50/1.4 along the streets on Hoi An.
Be it the bustling local markets or the tourist spots of the old town. A7306744 by pinholecam02, on Flickr
Focusing is generally fast, especially with the new firmware update.
Whatever shots I missed, were missed opportunities due to slow realization of the chance to take a shot (which happens with any camera ). A7306894 by pinholecam02, on Flickr
What could be better might be that the shutter response upon button press can be a bit faster.
I seem to find that there is a slight lag.
However, I think that in most cases (As shown in the photos, it was still manageable ) A7306869 by pinholecam02, on Flick
Shooting f1.4 and nailing it certainly shows off what this old 50mm is capable of.
The other thing is that the Pentax FA50/1.4 (as with many Pentax lenses) often strike that perfect balance in size, decent sharpness wide open and very good bokeh in more situations. A7306883 by pinholecam02, on Flickr A7306716 by pinholecam02, on Flickr A7306911 by pinholecam02, on Flickr
Flare can be an issue with the lack of baffling in the adapter.
Perhaps at this point, I think it might be biggest weakness of this adapter now that AF is much faster with the new firmware.

I brought the ZV1 as my video and cycling tour camera.
The original idea is for it to do the video part, with the K1 or A7iii as the photo camera and then an action camera for the on-bike video.
In the end for this Vietnam trip, I used the ZV1 most of the time due to the convenience of portability, using only the A7iii+FA50/1.4 as the shallow DOF shooter. Yeah, personally, I think ISO800 will be the max I will used comfortably to even think about RAW processing.
As usual (as with the Pentax Q series) these cameras perform very well in good light.
I shoot in RAW

Some shots of Hoi An (Vietnam) from my cycling trip there.
Used a ZV1 as I know that most of the time I will be shooting in good light and only use the FF camera during sunrise and sunset.
But in the end, I used the ZV1 a lot... ZV100390 by pinholecam02, on Flickr ZV100440 by pinholecam02, on Flickr ZV100370 by pinholecam02, on Flickr

Mine's an A7iii, update was very smooth and very fast (no long wait and no error message)
Maybe you can try to borrow one?

I upgraded immediately.
My FA50/1.4 now works (AFAIK, 3 guys here in Singapore have FA50/1.4 that did not work previously; probably due to our lenses being around the same lineage of FA50/1.4 )
Playing with the adapter and FA50/1.4 and initial impression is that I've very happy with the faster AF (and accuracy )
More photos and shooting to follow....

New firmware V3 released Log into Facebook | Facebook
"January 1, 2023, Shenzhen, China. MonsterAdapter is pleased to release the v03 firmware for Pentax K-mount to Sony E-mount electronic adapter LA-KE1.
By following LA-EA4r and LA-FE1, new firmware of LA-KE1 v03 also adds new focus drive algorithm: G Driver II, which effectively improves the auto focus performance of K-mount screw-driven lenses on Sony mirrorless cameras (including AF-S single focus and AF-C continuous focus). According to the team tests, the focusing speed in many scenes has been able to equal or exceed the Pentax SLRs on last E-mount cameras. Which will make your shooting experience more enjoyable.
Note 1: G Driver needs the support by the camera, please see below for the list of compatible bodies. In case of a suitable camera, the adapter will automatically enable the G Driver I or II, and other cameras will continue to use the existing driver.
Note 2: Due to lens technical reasons, G Driver for LA-KE1 is only available for screw-driven lenses supported by LA-KE1, lenses with SDM/DC/PLM motors will continue to use existing focus algorithm. If the lens is a dual-drive lens, the screw-driven mode can support G Driver, while the SDM mode will continue to use existing one.
Get MonsterAdapter LA-FE1 firmware v03 here (for Windows PC only): Microsoft OneDrive - Access files anywhere. Create docs with free Office Online.
"
From the documentation :
1. Added G Driver II focus algorithm, supported cameras gets faster
focus speed (See supported cameras and notes);
2. More lenses supported, over 60 lenses now;
3. Two AF teleconverters supported;
4. Fixed AF issue of some type FA 50mm f1.4 due to different lens
data;
5. Improves the overall stability.
