Downgrade k3?

Hi to all
for months I used K3 (has a few months to live) and, at the same time, also my (as new) K5. I found K5 better for highlight exposure management, and high iso also.
I'm not enthusiastic about K3 and then I think to sell it for switch to K5IIs... or what other Pentax aps-c cuold be similar (or better?) to K5 as high iso management? I don't know all pentax aps-c...

Thanks a lot

Tamron 300/5,6 (54B): adaptall-2

Hi to all
recently bought a Tamron 300/5,6 (54B) after reading the very good reviews on this site.
I have adaptall-2 (simple) ring and adaptall-2 ring with electic contacts.
In you opinion is better to use adaptall-2 with electric contacts or is the same also with simple adaptall-2 ring?

As I can see lens group seems to be clear, no fungus, no haze... but on my K5, tamron 300 quality (with simple adaptall-2 ring) seem to be not great.

Thanks a lot

I think so... also! There is very significant exposure compensation with focusing screen different from K3 kit.. very very significant!

Ok I've seen S type focus screen... Is there really really big differencies with k3 kit focusing screen? In "screen comparision" I can see how use S type... but is there possibility to magnify scene on VF during focusing? or isn't necessary?

Thanks friend... from 1,2 to 2,8 it's ok metering!!! But from 4 to 11(or 22) increase underexposing... very quickly and with all my lenses. I tried with spot and center weight metering modes with same results

Hi to all,
recently I placed on my K3 an "Bresson" dual 45 split image focusing screen bought on ebay. Pressing green button to read correct exposure seems works fine, with M mode, from 1,2 to 2,8 on my manual lenses but in I use from 4 to 11 the images are really too too overexposed.
And then I placed again factory K3 screen and, whit the same test, it's all ok!
Is there a problem of my focusing screen or it's normal with any focusing screens? I'm thinking about to buy and Canon ee-s focusing screen but if the problem would then be the same I don't buy it.
Could anyone tell me his really experience and suggestions?

Hi to all,
I'm newbie in this forum but I'm not newbie on Pentax :)

I'm currently reorganizing my pentax lenses set and, actually, I've this lenses:
- 18-55 II
- sigma 70-210 2,8 EX DG II APO MACRO
- tamron SP 300 5,6 (I'm thinking of selling because I don't use it ever and remained as new in box)
- Helios 58 F/2

My favourite shots are first of all celebrations (birthdays etc.) at home with many portraits, rarely some ceremonies in the Church, and travel. I like very much portraits and I'm happy with my old Helios-58 f/2... but the best, for me, could be to find any used M42 or K 85mm..

On my actual whishlist there are:
- new sigma 17-70 contemporary
- tamron 17-50 2,8
- pentax 17-70 (lately with this lens I have had numerous problems with autofocus. But it was used ... I sold right away but now I'm afraid that the SDM problem can recur again sooner or later.)
- pentax 24-50 or 24-90

or any very good multipurpose lens (but I read that 18-135 isn't really excellent... as other similar lenses)

I'm looking for a lens that I must have the best possible quality at f/2.8 and be very sharp (as my old tamron 28-75)
My budget is around 450 euros.

Many suggests?
Thanks to all
