You're right. I found it looks better to put untouched images into enfuse and then massage the output. Another thing about the output is the sharpness... it appears to use the multiple images to enhance the edges without halos.

With enfusegui, it's really a transparent process. You would never know the difference.

I've always liked the program Enfuse (find it here). It's pretty simple, but you'll have to find a GUI to use with it. It blends on the pixel level by evaluating exposure, saturation, and quality of focus instead of tone maps. Along with blending 3 - 5 shots, it can be used to combine shots with different focal planes for a larger DOF. Here's a really bad example of Enfuse that I tried to force (the light was way too crazy being in a valley and all):

Item Description
I've decided to let my K200d go. The last time I used it was 6 months ago. It's in near perfect condition and has been well taken care of. PhotoME shows the shutter count at 2516. It comes with the original software, manuals, strap, eye piece cover, video cable and box. I cannot find the usb cable. I'm also including the grip which is in the same condition. It comes with the box and manual. I'm going to keep the sale within the US even though the title says US/CAN (sorry) and...
Please do not ask me to separate the sale of the grip and the camera.

The camera is a CCD camera, but for some reason the guy had the camera downsize the resolution in-camera. My bet is on the chrome wheel of the car being a culprit.

Mitt Romney on healthcare in Mass.

... and if they leave? No other companies to provide up to the state standard? Then what? As it is now, they are not required to be in business in Massachusettes. I think the companies will call the state government's hand on this one. What governor in the public's eye wants to be the one to hand out pink slips to the thousands that work for these companies? The state will have to make a choice - cut requirements in certain areas or let them raise rates plain and simple. It's either that or raise taxes.

I just thought it was funny when the Dems were making fun of Brown's truck during the campaign that they didn't make fun of --- or even mention his bumper sticker:
"Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my gun"

As far as healthcare in Massachusettes, I give healthcare companies another year before they start to pull out of the state. They operated at a loss in 2009. They petitioned the state for a rate increase and it was denied. Two years operating in the red and they'll bail.

RML, this is more of a special interest story than anything... There are plenty of other urologists in the Orlando area to take care of the offended. If this was in a small town or extreme rural area there would be a much bigger stink that I would think the POTUS couldn't ignore in one of his 20-30 weekly televised stump speeches.

I have a feeling that all of the patients he loses, he'll gain back with the publicity. It's not unlike a place in our state capital city that has a confederate flag flying high and proud over his place of business (Maurice's BBQ) even though he gets a daily fine for it. I really don't care either way about the flag and personally I think his BBQ is average, but the guy gets a ton of business from the publicity. It will be the same thing here.

I wonder how this would play out in a more rural area and the nearest alternative being a 40 minute drive away. Oh wait, I can see it now - new legislation - No Patient Left Behind.

Hey - what about Ebola or Ringworm? Let us not discriminate. They're all God's creatures.

Hey RML - Have you ever heard of the horse latitudes and how they got their name?

I don't think he was joking. He appeared to be grasping at anything to tote the party line - however stupid. I bet if you could ask him if Church's Chicken/KFC puts chemicals in their food to make black men impotent, he'd agree with you - however stupid it sounds.

The truth of the matter is that the US never had a ban on drilling 50 miles off the coast of VA. It was all a PR stunt. While he said that he was going to "allow" drilling off the coast of VA, he in turn shut down attempts to get permission for new drilling in Alaska. In effect banning all new drilling in the state. It's one step forward and two steps back.

So Who's Going to Take Part in the Census?

The Constitution's need for a census was to make sure states were represented correctly in the House. It was meant for a head count, nothing more, nothing less. This idea that using it as the be all, end all statistical holy grail is crazy. It is no more acurate than a news network poll. My biggest objection with it is, the census was used to round up Japanese Americans during WWII. That latest abuse was right after 9/11 to identify where Arab Americans resided. What's next? We don't know and I don't really care to know. These cases are both well documented and the Dept of Commerce isn't happy talking about it, but it is true and factual. If they really wanted to make it out like they wanted to save some money, they would have gotten together with the IRS and SS commision and nipped the law abiding citizens on the list in the bud and continue on to the others that are harder to count. As far as me answering more than is needed, it's not going to happen.

You still want to buy chinese?

I don't think that what Americans think of as Chinese food is really Chinese food. I've heard that General Tso's Chicken was invented in NYC. I had a Korean friend in college and although their traditional food smelled great, it was a little too hot for my taste. Actually, way too hot.

As far as Chinese products... If I'm going to buy something that is going to be Chinese anyways, I'll buy it from China. I have no interest in paying for 2 or 3 companies multipliers for the same product. Case in point, I just bought 1,000 5mm blue LEDs straight from China shipped for under $20. There's not a company here that could get anywhere near that price for the same product. It's a shame, but its reality.

I really don't care either way, most in my state don't by historical records. We'll just get less federal funding and representation. With that and the $900+ billion bill we got with the health care reform, I guess the poor will get even more poor... what a shame... change they could believe in... Does free health care help starvation?
