Yep, that sounds like flat batteries to me.

Looks like the re-branded Foma to me too. Although I can't say 100%.

Everything Ilford, Kodak or Fuji that I have seen tells you pretty clearly as shown in that image.

Thanks guys :o
Unfortunately it seems that the LX has a mirror problem, probably the infamous "sticky mirror" issue I guess.
But it was a bargain and is in otherwise good condition so it just means I'll need to wait a while to get it serviced before I can start shooting with it.

Nice shots. The warmth of the Ferrania film seems to work nicely here.

Cheers Eddie. I got some pretty strange results with large grain on this roll. So kind of a happy accident :o

Consistently great images in here.
If I have to pick favourites though it'd be a tie between Colton's set and the pictures of the lovely young girls :)

I may not be posting much these days but I'm still lurking around quite regularly. Recently scored myself an LX so there'll be shots up from that eventually.
Meanwhile, here's one from the 67 which is basically a happy accident. Found some expired Agfa APX100 and had some fun, got some interestingly dramatic results!

I'm also in Australia and would like to get the FF-1 if possible.
Also keen on the LX Grip B if disco_owner doesn't take it.

Paypal is really easy for international stuff like this.
It can be risky from a buyer's point of view, but would you accept a Western Union transfer?

cheers

Good stuff Nicole.
I honestly thought your photo was a fair bit ahead of the competition also. You ended up with a fine image even with the pressure of the show.

Over in Australia the movie cost seems to be $15-18. However I commonly get a members discount card which makes it $10.
If it was $15+ each time I'd probably almost never go.

Yes I'd agree in general that the movie industry seems to be clueless about this sort of thing. We have 'scary' pre-movie advertisements that exclaim: "You wouldn't steal a car, you shouldn't steal a CD, downloading movies is stealing". Yeah OK...

Game of Thrones is a good example of the TV show issue, it's just the same here. Download it or don't watch it, basically.

I can hand hold shots at f/16 sometimes... But that doesn't tell me what the shutter speed was, or the ISO :P

OK, I better post a shot while I'm here...

I think you can't go too wrong with the newest versions of the Portra 160 and Portra 400 films.
But why not try black and white? :D I'd recommend Fuji Acros...

Recently I got the chance to travel to Europe for a little while. It wasn't for a holiday, but I took my trusty MX of course and snapped a few photos on the weekends :)
Here's one from the Vasa Museum in Stockholm, Sweden.
Well worth a bit of a google if you're into history...

It's still a lovely shot Colton. And yes the DoF is rather shallow!

IIRC I shot this with the Pentax-M 20mm f/4 @ f/4 and 1/30, pushing the limits a little (for me)

Lens Price Increase Rant

I'm sorry, but I think you need to go out and take some photos rather than worrying so much about gear prices.
To let angst about prices stop you from enjoying photography itself would be a real shame.

Why does a camera company raise the prices? Simply economics, I'd assume.
You also need to realise that for a long time the US paid cheaper prices on Pentax gear than the rest of the world. I believe it's much more even globally now.
There was also a big price rise a few years ago, I think it was mid 2009.
