No, IMHO you're not weird. And I say that as a Pentax + Fuji user.
As for the K-3III, I'm interested, and want to see user reviews once released. I'll make a purchase decision at that point.

Unless I missed it, I haven't seen any responses to these...
M.Up doesn't mean hybrid viewfinder. 645D, 645Z, K1 have M.Up, other past and current cameras have/ have had this functionality as well.

I've had monoculars in lightweight kits for years. Loved the concept, hated the execution. This monocular fixes my major issue with focusing, will have to see if it would play well with my eyes. The macro stand is something I'd use. And that smart phone adapter is a good idea IMHO.

There's probably more of us than you realize. Some of us just don't post a lot.
My Pentax gear has generated more discussion, and handling of my gear by others, than any other brand I have owned.
I have no issues with recommending Pentax if it fits the other person's usage. (e.g. not going to recommend a K-1 to someone who runs & guns and uses a deep & fast-clearing buffer, but will suggest the K-1 for landscape shooters and the like.)
Biggest issue with people making a move to Pentax is the cost of changing systems. Unless you can catch a shooter with minimal gear, or a new shooter, or someone with plenty of gear to sell and fund the move, or a pro... Joe average has a difficult time absorbing the cost of an expensive system change.
As for the K-new - I'm looking forward to the release. Whether or not the camera is for me will be determined once released, and I get to see specs and reviews from users.

First time I've seen both the male and female Gila woodpeckers on the hummingbird feeder at the same time. The female flew a few feet to the tree shortly after I snapped this shot. K-1 + DA*300, slight crop.

Trying to get some shots of Verdin hopping around the tree this AM, the woodpecker stuck his head out from behind the feeder and photo-bombed the shot. I thought I missed him doing that, got a chuckle when I was processing the images. K-1 + DA*300, heavy crop.
