Quote from tcdk
"I do, kind of, see your point, but I think the main point of the contests are to give people a Chance to show of what's possible (with a Pentax)."

With this statement in mind wouldn't it be nice for the National Geographic pro's amongst us to submit their work as what's possible (not for entry in the contest) this way us amateurs might have a chance at getting recognition from the contest.

Also if you narrowed down the subject, dimensions, time in other words published a book of rules and disqualified the photos that didn't qualify it would be easier to choose

As it stands now I can't vote for instance how do you choose between #2,4,10,17,20. 21, 30 ect and some of the less dramatic but very good night scenes which I thought the contest was all about.

Larry

PS Great pictures

Make it a requirement to enter contest.

Or photo's with Descriptions have a better chance of winning

It's very difficult to judge a winning photo

I think a description of the theme and photo would be very helpful in making a good judgment

This is my first time participating and I'm finding it very difficult selecting the best. I would find the following very helpful in making my decisions.

1. Description of the theme.
2. Description of the photo for instance what is that thing in picture #13 and in picture #2 are those flowers blowing in the wind

Hi all

I agree the 31 isn't a wide angle lens on the D. I'm interested in that lens because of it's speed and 3D, boken effects.

For wide angle I'm thinking of the Pentax smc P-DA 10-17mm

and for long the Pentax smc P-DA 55-300mm

I agree with Wheatfield the 38 26 36 is a better choice

thank you for your input
