... man, who's thirsty? Nice one.

I totally should have had a flashlight with me. It just slipped my mind and I was in the middle of nowhere at 2:00AM. Next time, I'll know what to do.

The chair is out of focus. It was pitch dark. I could barely see 2 feet in front of me, much less focus the camera. I guessed it at infinity, but I was a little off. The surreal feeling was what I was after with these. It kind of worked out. I'll know what to do next time.

Thanks for looking guys!

Sorry to post so many at once. I just got around to developing these and I'm pretty psyched about them. They are all from a recent trip to The Outer Banks, NC. The long exposures didn't turn out as well as I had hoped, but they are my first successful star trail photos.

It's the 105. If I remember correctly, this one was at about F8! Selective focus with these cameras is unreal.

I love, love love velvia 50 when exposed right. Or Portra for negative film.

I'd say the same thing. Try Ilford Pan F +. It's a 50 ISO film. Shoot it at 50iso and stand develop it in rodinal 1+100 for 1 hour. That will preserve shadow and highlight detail. The slow film will give you more control in bright sun. Pan F is nice and contrasty too. My 0.02 anyway.

TMAX 100 would work well too. It's pretty contrasty film.

Try Tri-x in Rodinal. If you don't mind grain.

Not arguing here, but TLRs are harder to use. Everything you see in the viewfinder is reversed, and getting sharp focus takes some getting used to. They're way cool. I have a Mamiya C220 and I love it. They are just clunky beasts and totally not what you're used to as an SLR user. $0.02.

I have run quite a few rolls through various MF systems. The 67II wins for me. It's easy to shoot with. Handholding is no problem in good light. I shoot velvia 50 @ 40 iso during "golden hour" light handheld routinely. When you get below 1/100, if you're doing critical work, a tripod will be necessary. The metering is spot on as well. Makes shooting in AV mode fast and easy.

I'm surprised. It's way sharp for 1600. Is that typical of this film or is it the contrast of the photo creating an illusion?

This is how I shoot 99% of the time. I have a 80-205 for my OM-1. It sees the light of day maybe twice per year. I shoot with a K1000 and a 6x7 and prime lenses. There's freedom in cutting the fat. Take away options and you start getting different, and better results.

Nesster- Great one. You see 1001 macro bee shots a day. This one stands out as something really unique with the camera/film/lens combo you're using. Great composition. Not an easy shot to pull off, I'm guessing.

What a shame. Shot a few rolls of ektachrome this weekend. It'll be missed. Another one bites the dust.
