PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Pentax 67II body, body cap, strap, Wood handle

Asking Price
631 dollars

Item Location
Ventura, Ca. (United States)

Item Description
Please please, do not dry fire this camera until you read the manual which I will provide on a cd for you with lots of other information about the Pentax 67 System as well.
You are buying a Pentax 67ii body with left side wooden handle(worth at least $75) and an official Pentax strap (a $50 value). This camera is in Very good shape!! It looks almost brand new. It has a few Very small scratches on the bottom(difficult to even photograph) and one by the mirror lock-up switch(again very small and caused by my fingernail). It also still has the original little piece of plastic that covers the LCD panel.
Film rails and pressure plate show no wear. The camera comes with view finder cover and lens mount body cover. I did test the shutter speeds, film transport and the light meter with an AE prism on the body and it all checked out fine.
You will need to get a prism of some sort since I am not including one in this sale.
There are 4 different ones to choose from. This camera can use 120 or 220 film. The latest and greatest prism is the AE PENTAPRISM FINDER 67II . There are 3 other prisms available .
Pentax 67II medium format camera body flawless body design for holding comfort, extra rigid die cast body for durability and reliability, functional LCD panel for data confirmation, TTL auto flash control, mirror lock-up ability, double-lock mechanism for finder/prism attachment, ideally positioned shutter release and winder lever just like 35mm format for effortless shooting.
Very highly regarded by professionals for decades, extensive reviews and
information on the internet all expressing the camera as a work horse with great virtues capable of producing images of great beauty.
This camera body is in excellent condition, with obviously little usage. All camera functions work flawlessly.
In case you don't know medium format cameras, I suggest you might want to do a little research. The Pentax 67ii system is Very Highly recommended, especially for landscapes (near to far dof is outstanding), fashion and portraits.
I will include a cd which has a Lot of information about the entire 67ii system. This information will help very much as far as getting to know what to do and what not to do along with lots of other info about system accessories.
Here are a couple of links that will help you to learn about the system lenses and the Pentax online community.
****Please note! The USPS has new rules about sending lithium batteries in the mail. Therefore, I will send 2 New Sealed Varta CR123A batteries in their original new packaging.
I will keep the used batteries for my other P67ii I still own. The next link is a place to evaluate lenses available for this camera. I have found it to be very reliable.

That's correct Adam. If you use "Save for Web" a different program is called up to do that job. That program strips the data.

If using Photoshop there is a fairly simple workaround.
First, make your image into a finished Tiff. Then Resize and only change the pixel count from 300 or 240 or whatever to 72. Photoshop will reduce the size of the image accordingly. If still too large, simply resize to disired dimensions and the do a Save As .jpg...
The Exif date stays with the image.
Works for me every time.

So, my question is: Are the Hoya filters as good as B+W or Heliopan?
Specifically this filter for the 75mm lens:

Hello Tuco. Yes, Canon glass get very expensive also. Fortunately, I already own the lenses I need for that system.
The reviews are very good on th 300mm ED IF but the only one I found for sale was $2000 in Japan. I keep a watch out.
Thanks for the heads up.

Hello all and thank you for your inputs so far. Yes, I just sold my Canon 5D Mark II to fund this rig. I plan to shoot landscapes, architecture, the Canyons and some plants. I guess I didn't realize the 300 was going to be so very big but I don't plan to use it that much really. While already owning the 55 and 165, those will be my most used lenses anyway. The 300 ED [IF] seems a little over the top pricewise.
I will do a few environmental portraits as well so I guess the 540 it is.
A great part of going back to film is to reacquire discipline, which I have lost by shooting only digital and correcting everything in Photoshop. I always thought film gave a different look anyway.

I forgot to mention I also bought a Pentax Flash Bracket. It's big and attaches to the camera on the side. I have a picture of it but don't know how to post the picture. I need to know what cable to buy to use the flash ( I think will be a 360 flash on sale now at Adorama).
Thanks, Mia

My name is Mia. Owned a P6x7 outfit for 20 years and had my own darkroom for 10. Switched to Digital in 2006 and have enjoyed it very much, however, I cannot get those big, clear, beautiful 6x7 negatives/transparencies out of my system so I am rebuilding a new 67ii system. So far, have purchased a 55mm-SMC, a 165mm SMC LS and trying to find a resonably priced 67ii and AE finder.
At any rate, I hope to make new online friends here and learn all over again the things I've forgotten. I post most of my online images at: www.mia.photopoints.com ...
