Where can I get Pentax BJ-61 or Pentax BB-61 (both split image) Focusing Screens?

eBay, that's where I found my BB-61. Prices have gone way up recently for these 67II screens and they are rare.

The Z-1p as well, I like the handling better than the MZ-S which is also pretty good. (Note I use both as manual focus cameras and the focusing screens on both leave something to be desired)

PENTAX Diopter Correction Lens Adapter M

Yep a -1 "M" Series version for your Super A. (The K series correction ones were smaller and are not marked with an "M")

Manual focus Pentax SLRs (excluding the LX) had a -1 diopter built-in to the viewfinder, so you would need to add -1 to that for -2.

Note you may find the -2 a bit too much correction and just leave it as is.

Pentax 67II + AF500 FTZ

I use that combo as well and yes that 67II will control the flash duration depending on the set aperture. There is a table in one version of the AF500FTZ flash guide, that lists the apertures supported depending on the ISO and zoom setting you are using.

Pentax 67 - Studio Strobe Help

I had a similar issue when using my P67 during a couple studio lighting courses I took years ago. Since the 67 has no hot-shoe for the trigger, I/we had to connect the strobes via the sync cable (1/30 shutter flash speed on the 67) on the power pack. Initially one strobe fired but not the others, I believe it was an issue as to how the lights were connected to the power pack or a setting on the power pack???

It was over ten years ago, so my memory is a bit fuzzy. Eventually we got it figured out and had no more issues. I was the only one in the course shooting medium format and film and using the sync cable.

Henry's has a deal on the 645z & FA 645 75MM F2.8.

If you buy the two for $9400CDN you get $3000CDN off the price, so $6400CDN (which is around $4937.00 USD) for the two. That's better than the B&H price for the 645z alone.

I use a Skylight filter at the minimum for all my colour shooting. Especially important with slide film, even the new E100.

No Shipments Out Of Japan

I've bought twp lenses and a lens hood from Japan over the last few weeks. (All via eBay and different sellers)

All came by FedEx and not by regular post, so it looks like Japanese sellers are switching to couriers only to Canada at least???

While it was nice to get all the items within a week, the extra FedEx importing charges are not appreciated.....

focusing problems with SMC Pentax 135-600mm F6.7

Welcome to the forum!

My guess is your zoom came with the dedicated close-up lens adapter (52mm filter ring) to reduce the minimum focusing distance of the lens. If this close-up adapter is mounted to the lens you will only be able to focus as you have described. You will need to remove the rear lens mount where you attach rear mounted filters and check. There is a ring you turn, just located below the distance scale and this removes the lens mount/filter holder that attaches to the camera.
