D810 is already old, Pentax should target D900.

Sony's 42MP sensor is not only about increase in no of pixels, somehow it give better detail.and colour in high ISO. Maybe it's due to BSI or because it's newer, I don't know the reason. I can see it clearly between my A7RII and K1. In fact, I'm sure that Pentax would do better with that sensor than Sony can, in terms of DR and high ISO performance.

77mm limited...should i?

Not exactly. A $5000 lens is not necessarily 10 times better than a $500 lens. Law of diminishing returns.
But no, it's difficult to find a $50 lens that will rival 77mm Ltd :)

Being loyal and being a fan are different. I think Pentax have some very hard fans who may actually attack you if you have a simple negative comment on any Pentax camera or lens or even a charger :) You may even be blamed to be troll of another brand :)

Ricoh needs to invest in developing a better AF system. K1's AF is OK but still behind Canikon and Sony.
K1 II with 42MP Sony sensor and a better AF module would mostly be sufficient.
That's what I think.

When the total sales have declined over the last 3-4 years, some companies are targeting high cost high profit products. Sony and Fuji are leading that pack, and Nikon has been pumping FF cameras and somehow neglecting DX market. Canon on the other hand has been more stable, I guess. They still sell more than all other companies combined, and I think though they lost revenue they lost less then others (percentage-wise). I hope I'm looking at right numbers, by the way.
Pentax... I cannot understand Pentax's strategy. Maybe it's me.
That's how I see.
And I don't care who loses how much, I don't see the companies will recover if they don't change their strategy ASAP. Most buyers don't need faster cameras or more MP or faster AF or more AF points. I don't have the answer to recover the decline, but to me it's obvious that existing strategies will not cut it.

That's due to decline in total sales, not due to cost/profit margin per product, I guess.

But Canon isn't bleeding, according to financial results. I think this is the result of slow iteration in entry level products. Changing 2-3 things and calling it "a new product" does not add huge cost to production and development. I'm sure that Canon made good profit between 600D and 700D. I'm not saying they make huge profit from these, on the other hand selling these cameras makes you market leader.
If Nikon could hold the Nikon 1 prices down (V1, V2 and V3 series) they could have a bigger share in mirrorless market and that would be a cost advantage on their side (more sales -> more production -> less cost) but they didn't. Even J series were expensive at the beginning (before huge discounts).

They make more money than A99II in total, although profit margin is very low.
And you become the market leader.

I have taken wedding photos with other cameras, I have used K1 in low light, and I say I will not trust K1 for low light wedding ceremonies.
If anyone here uses K1 for wedding ceremonies in churches or dark party halls, then he/she is welcome to share experience.

Charts and numbers are only one side, the other and more important aspect is to TAKE the photo. 7DMII is probably 1-1.3 stops behind K1 in high ISO (say ISO3200 and above) but then 7DMII takes photo everytime I need.
But no 7DMII is not the best wedding camera, 5DMIV or 1DXII would be best.
I have used these cameras, have you?

I haven't looked at data in detail but Nikon has lost quite a bit of trust, I believe. D800, D600, D750 all came with problems. Even D500 has a problemmatic WiFi connection and may have issues with certain memory cards. What's worse, Nikon did not acknowledge the problems fast and many Nikon users have gotten frustrated. In fact, I sold many of my Nikon lenses and did some investment in Pentax. Not that Pentax is any better but at least I know what's wrong with Pentax bodies and lenses :) There is one area Pentax (Ricoh?) needs to invest: Better AF system. Lack of lenses etc... can be taken care of somehow. A K3III (or KP?) with a better and reliable AF module would carry Pentax marketshare up.
But that's my guess only.

I'd sell Rokinon 85 and Pentax 18-135 or FA 50mm and get the 77mm.

So everytime Pentax introduces a new body, their sales increase.
It's striking that Nikon lost and Canon gained so much.

I can, 1 or 2, or 3. Then I should switch to 7DMII as K1 cannot lock always. Locking AF under low light with K1 is similar to EM5, you can but cannot always depend on it.
I'm not sure if I can explain it any clearer.
Add: I'm not sure why Pentax users are so sensitive against criticism about their gadgets. It is what it is. These are just tools, we are not married to our cameras or lenses.

Is my English that bad? Did you take that cyclist photos at -3EV?
I can take regular sports photos with probably %25 success with 450D. That doesn't make it a sports or wedding camera. Now I'm not comparing K1 with 450 as K1's AF is way better than that.
Sorry to upset, I personally would not trust K1 for weddings. But for pre-wedding photos for albums where people wait and pose, K1 would do just excellent.

You did not get my point.
K1 is not a sports or low light wedding camera. I groom and bride poses than that's another thing.
That cycling photo, my old 450D can take cycling photos in bright daylight.

Pentax K1 Vs Lumix Gx8

So what is the purpose of this video? It's like comparing large format to K1. Pointless.
They should also try to compare 4K video qualities between these cameras. But oh wait...
GX8 and K1 are entirely different cameras for different target groups.

I have shot with D700, 5DMarkII, 5DMarkIII, 5DMarkIV, D800, D810, A7RII and now I have K1. It is obvious that K1 cannot match Canikon's low light AF capabilities.
BUT, I think K1 is a better all-around camera than D810 (except from AF of course).
Oh but I haven't shot weddings with K1, if you want to know.

K-1 would not make a good wedding camera if you are working in low light AND if you are low in budget. Sorry to upset Pentax fans but it is correct. You cannot take wedding photos where you need to catch moments with a manual lens so you need a solid 24-70mm f2.8. Still, low light focus capability of K1 is nowhere near even d700 (maybe slightly better than D610).
You don't need only high ISO capability, you also need to nail the focus when you need it.
A second hand 6D would be sufficient if you can work with center focus point, or a D700.
K1 is a brilliant camera if you don't need low light focus or fast action.

Check if HDR is enabled. If it is, you need to disable that.

So you have underexposed some of your shots by 4-5 stops? Then I'll bow before you :)
1 stop is OK, maybe I've had to lift shadows by 2-3 stops at most, other than that no sane person needs +4-5 EV post-correction.
