lens blur or motion blur

I have to agree. I opened the first in Topaz Sharpen AI and it immediately used the "Out of Focus" sharpen model as opposed to "Motion Blur" or just "Too Soft".

Poll: How large does everyone here print?

I print all different sizes depending upon need/use. 4"x6" is my smallest, while 13"x19" the largest my printer will handle without going to roll paper. If they are to be displayed on a wall or mantle, I consider 11"x14" the smallest to print. I have thought about going to an outside print house for larger prints, but never have done so.

Question about Pentax MX

I agree that the issue is probably not with the LEDs themselves. LEDs do degrade with time, but we're talking many thousands of hours to see noticeable reduction in output. I doubt that is the issue. Light entering the eyepiece can make the LEDs appear dim. A good rubber eyecup will help with this.

Shutterbug review of Pentax K-3iii

Off topic, but born before 1950 might be a good club.

I think Ricoh/Pentax "nailed it" on the Knew. At 74, I am very fortunate to be able to get what I want and stop wondering what I am missing by not having something. Will be ordering the K-3iii soon and would like to get the new 16-50 when available.

Poll: Should Pentax make a new film SLR

No. I would not want to see any Ricoh/Pentax development resources assigned to such an effort. I still have two good film bodies, film, and the equipment to develop and print both negatives and slides. But I haven't used any film in over a decade.

Will you buy the k3 Mark 3?

Yes, definitely. Whether I buy immediately or wait a few months is my only decision that remains. Would love to pick it up in a "kit" with the upcoming new DA*16-50 PLM as that has great appeal to me. And making one large purchase is easier to "float" past the better half than two.

I nominate the DA* 60-250mm f/4 lens. SMC Pentax-DA* 60-250mm F4 ED [IF] SDM Reviews - DA Zoom Lenses - Pentax Lens Reviews & Lens Database

Although this lens is a little slow on the focus, it produces wonderful images.

According to the camera reviews on this website, "The Pentax LX was introduced in 1980 as a system camera for the professional photographer. It is the only Pentax 35mm SLR to feature an exchangeable viewfinder - a total of 8 viewfinders were available together with 9 focusing screens."

Read more at: Pentax LX - Pentax Manual Focus Film SLRs - Pentax Camera Reviews and Specifications

[emphasis added]
That is one 35mm camera, not "a lot". Medium format is another story, but why compare them to FF or APSC?

I am expecting the Knew to be priced similarly to the K-1ii. Both are flagships, although with different characteristics and design goals.

Need Software that can reorder and number pictures for a slideshow

I'm using LR Classic 9.4 and have no problem reordering image files in the Library Module (Grid view) or in a Collection. Actually, the prescribed technique for building a slideshow in LR is to put all the images into a collection, then ordering them as you wish via drag and drop.

I don't use the mobile version often and never use the cloud app. I wonder if the issue is limited to those versions.

This is a shot of Emerald Lake in Canada. Sorry about the haze. It was taken during the summer of 2017 when there were lots of forest fires.

Actually Wi-Fi 6 is the latest standard. 802.11ac is also known as Wi-Fi 5. 6 does not guarantee faster individual device to device transfers, but permits the overall network to have improved throughput performance. Currently there are few Wi-Fi 6 capable devices, but they are coming, and I think that the hardware for Wi-Fi 5 would be coming down in price. I would be surprised if hardware for the standards prior to 802.11ac would even stay in production for much longer considering it is all now at least two generations old.

Not just a pro thing! On a once in a lifetime trip, it is nice to have the option of writing your raw files to both cards - just in case Murphy is along for the ride.

I believe that Li was always a Nikon user and that he used Pentax as a mechanism to have a YouTube presence in an under served area (who else reviewed Pentax equipment on a "regular" basis?).

As far as his switch to Fuji is concerned, that was a surprise to me as Pentax equipment usually came out ahead in his direct comparisons of lenses.
