UV Filters, does coating matter?

these days I don't use filters except on my 17-50, it came with the lens, a Marumi UV (not the first Marumi I've had) it performs really well so I leave it on. Lens hoods protect to a certain degree and omit extraneous light, their intended purpose.

lenses not in use have lens caps on.

For audio on my computer I'm using Asus Xonar STX sound card with Alessandro MS1 head phones, works well for the style of music I like. But recently came into a mid 70's early 80's Dual turntable with Denon amp and Kef speakers, I suppose we just try to get the best gear we can for our needs.

Next purchases for me I'm looking at the 50-135, Tair 11A 135 amongst other lenses.

some of the hoyas might rate well, for me it is B+W or higher end Marumi, why do you want a skylight filter?

sky light filters have a slight colour cast to them, mainly used with film. Hoya are ok, but if you need filters why put an ok brand in front of superb glass?

This is a bad move for Australia, many will use it and businesses, family businesses will close because of it, bad move letting them in, I say boycott Amazon for sure, send them packing.

if you need filters go for good ones, B+W.

Or Marumi are good, the higher quality versions in their range.

if funds permit I like pentax brand, but as funds are tight at present i'm getting another betterbat, they last a good time in camera, no complaints, and they won't rip you off.

How Many Spare Batteries Do You Have?

I have one spare for each camera, If I was doing all day jobs I woud have two spare for each camera. Looks like an old non Pentax I have is not holding charge, the last BetterBatt battery purchades seems ok, probably get one of them, as it is about $100 for a pentax, which I'd prefer, but for now one at $25 from BetterBatt will do.

exactly, each image is unique :)
not just the camera settings, that helps, but the story you want to tell, or even the feeling to portray. a presentation might need some sort of sameness for continuity as such, but not stopping each image being unique.

I'm interested to understand this too, maybe some examples would help, any one have?
Side by side, dull and clinical vs soul with character.

maybe try it as a live disc or live usb stick, change boot options, boot into the live disc and check it out, it will run a tad slower as the live version runs from the live disc and ram, an easy non destructive way to check out Linux, Linux Mint 'Cinnamon' would be a start I reckon, install darktable and give it a go, it all happens temporarily, nothing gets changed on your hard drive, and if you like it a dual boot is an option from there on, the best of both worlds :)

Tmax 400 in Caffenol C.

I was asking about the Caffenol process in general, not anyone's work, just curious on whether the developing can produce deep blacks, given a good film exposure exists, and a nice gradation through to white?

Yes this is what I like the most, screen face in, I did this when I had a Canon 60D it was great not to have a screen surface on my cheek, remembering the film days we did not get to see the image until the film was developed, I still like that, review the images when I get home. Using the top lcd to change main adjustments and also focus points at a glance is useful for me.

I have found Betterbatt ok, no problems, I have one for my K-3/K-5, but not as good long lasting as Pentax batteries

Pentax KP Battery

I recommend sending CRK an email regarding replacement battery for the KP and go Pentax brand instead.
Actually Adam has a link above for CRK
