I never said anything about qualifying for anything. I hope at least. English is not my native language so if it sounded so then sorry. I just wanted to say that if someone wants to help Pentax stay afloat buying new gear is only way.

Of course. I am just saying that without new sales Pentax will not survive. And us discussing here Pentax future without buying what Pentax makes is just, how it is in English? Producing hot air?

I think it depends on time line. Short term looking a lot was invested into R&D for new lenses and camera so some loses are acceptable - first sales will not return the cost of R&D. I suppose they are counting sales and incomes to see if there is a chance of return of investment or not. It will look gloomy if the answer is not but we will know next year with new annual report I think.

All in all to make Pentax afloat we need to buy Pentax gear. New, shiny Pentax gear. Not necessarily newest constructions, but go to shops and buy Pentax. Otherwise all that brand loyalty means literally nothing. Buying used gear does not bring income to Pentax.

I don't have Instagram (or FB) and frankly I am slowly backing off of Google at all so... don't care :) Still it is Cameraville and if what I remember from his videos is present on Instagram then... I don't care even more :D

Found it in a drawer. It works (sort of) and I am 3rd generation using it. Talk about rugged. I need to take it apart and clean it, just cant find time. Really like this small camera.

^^^^ The last and first photos (counting all three posts) are gorgeous. I don't know which one I like more, I think first is better as I love all flowers from Asteraceae family in all forms and colors and seeing them en masse rubs me the right way :)

Are we really THAT rare?

You are lucky that you are meeting normal camera shooters at all. I was two weeks ago at Westerplatte, it is a "must see" touristic spot here, a place where second world war started so lots of people. There were 2 camera shooters, including myself (the other one was some young girl with Canon). Everyone else used cellphones. Yesterday I was a National Museum to see new exhibition of old Gdańsk porcelain and cruise through the normal exhibition and paintings. Lots of people, some tourists from Germany, I was the only one with camera, everyone was using cellphone. Same on streets of old town. It is not that Pentax is rare, it is cameras that are more and more of old school thing.

It sits well, but I can move it left/right. I think it is due to USB-C port specification, same goes for every other USB-C device with female port. As for chargin I use USB and my PC Desktop to charge battery when I am working on PP with my pictures. I'm using charger only after long trips when I need to use spare batteries.

Never had any issues with AF-C under any light conditions. Even when shooting at airport at night and directly into the terminal so with lots of strong light sources in my direction. AF-S works even in middle of the night. As long as I can see the object AF works.

Yes, but it is still there. It is there by design but as guys before me said reviewers will see it as a flaw.

Soft focus at 2.4, it was one of design points to show accurate but "dreamy" look - like sea foam near shell or something like this :). It is demonstrated in one of images in the lens story with engineers. Closeup on flower and wide open it had nice soft focus for more artistic approach to photography, on f4 it was very sharp. It was even stated that wide open some of aberrations were left uncorrected for such look. I think this lens is perfectly imperfect :D

Still I think DPR and in general reviewers will miss it and laugh hard at "such bad lens at such price".

Beautiful lens. Little sense for APSC owner with WR DC already there for our format (20-40) and 20mm also in DA Ltd form, but still nice that FA Limiteds got their wide brother. I am not a target audience for this lens, but if someone is - just give your money to Pentax so they can design more lenses for us :P
