Thank you for the info in both posts.

I'm totally fine with not being able to use the Panasonic batteries in the Pentax. I did notice that the Panasonic battery wouldn't seat. I have a good amount of Pentax batteries, so it works out.

Video is a new realm for me, so I have alot to learn as far as getting a setup together and actually shooting the video. I've got experience with Sony Vegas Pro 9 editing wedding videos a few years back, just never shot video myself.

I got the GH5 kit with the Panasonic 8-18mm lens. I want have a vlogging setup for commentary or whatever, as well as shooting wildlife. If it's anything like my Pentax equipment, i'll have a setup for shooting everything in the end.

If you told me that and asked me which bird it was, I would never know. They act so differently here. I've seen them perched 3 feet off of the ground singing away.

Different shot of the same bird I posted previously:

That's the only way I can get close to Scissor-Tailed Flycatchers. If I am on foot, they see me from a distance, and just move a little further away, keeping a pretty big gap between us.

Panasonic GH5 and DA*300. Using a Novoflex adapter. My intentions are to start a Youtube channel, and use my Pentax glass on this body. Pentax DLI90's also work in this GH5 body.

Here's some first test 4k video shot with it while I learn how to use the body. Coming from 10yrs of Pentax bodies, this is new to me. So far, I am loving the combo for video.

This redwing blackbird was hand held, right from the camera. No editing.

This mouse was shot hand held, but I attempted to stabilize it in Shotcut video editor. It made some of the frames look a little jumpy. Open for suggestions on video editing software that doesn't have a monthly charge and can handle 4K.

You Tube

This squirrel was shot using a tripod. There was a hawk flying over and the squirrel knew it.

This one was strange. It had no care in the world about how close you got to it or who was around it. There was another guy that layed down on the ground and inched his camera right up to it doing a very slow army crawl. The bird acted like he wasn't even there. At once point, a grackle bumped into the Bittern, and the Bittern didn't even budge.
The bird stayed in this ditch for a couple days and ate a lot of small crawfish.

Painted Bunting. One of the very first birds I was looking for since I started birding, and it took me almost 3 years to make this bird a lifer. Got both male and female on the same day.

A reminder to watch where you step while looking up in the trees for birds. I scanned the ground, took a step forward, and this water moccasin (venomous) slithered out from under my next foot step. It was so well camouflaged with the leaves that I almost overlooked it. I'd like to say that I am pretty good at spotting snakes, but I completely missed this one. I froze in place and my foot hovered over it as it moved out of the way. A close call, an eye-opener, and a first for me. I spent the rest of the trail looking for snakes.

Yesterday at the duck pond, I caught a lady hand feeding a Nutria Rat. I talked to her, and she said that she feeds him every day and that he likes salads, but today he got a treat of bread.

I went back yesterday to see if I could find any more alligators. Caught this one in the late afternoon / early evening. K3 - 150-450 at 330mm.

While walking along the trail, there was a couple that had two small children. The wife stopped me and asked me if I had seen anything further up the trail. I told her what I saw, and where-about to expect seeing it. While I was talking to her, the husband was eyeballing me up and down. From the way he was looking at me, I had a feeling he was going to say something stupid to assert his manliness in front of his woman, but he kept quiet. She told me thanks for the tip, I said good luck, and we went our separate ways.

A bit later, we all happened upon the gator above about the same time. I didn't say anything to them when I walked up, and just went to take my pictures. While I was shooting the pic above, she said "That's a nice camera". Before I could say thanks, the husband said "That's cheap junk, you can get that at walmart for 30 bucks, lets go" He grabbed her arm, and they started to walk away.

I could just tell from the way he was looking at me the first time, he had something stupid to say, but cheap junk? walmart? 30bucks? I actually questioned if I had heard what I did. I wanted to say something back to him, but knew it would only escalate things and I didn't want a broken camera. Plus, I was standing in between him and this alligator so I just let it go. I don't need to prove anything.
