An up-to-date version of one of those 1950s-60s 8mm home-movie camera with wide-angle "normal" and telephoto lenses on a turret - Pentax was always "ahead of the game" in some areas!

We don't have coyotes in the UK, but in London (and other UK towns & cities) we have many urban foxes - there's probably a fox den at the end of the cul-de-sac beside our house. Normally, you only know they are there because of the (very loud!) mating calls in the early morning hours during the early part of the year - and because the previous rat-infestation now seems to have been reduced (presumably the foxes have "got 'em") - but, a week or so ago, I saw a (rather "underfed"!) fox running down our road at around 10am in the morning!

The actual difference between the K30/K50 (the only real difference between the two is the ability to use KAF-4 mount lenses on the latter - unless you load the hacked f/w on the K-30, which works!) and the K-70 is "quite a lot" in terms of higher IQ, higher ISO, flippy screen, pixel shift, etc., etc!

;)"He"/She" has GOT to be totally joking
In fact, "He/She" is him/herself a total "Joke" but, then, that's what "He/She" maybe actually "intended" - either way, "He/She" should "you know what" up!

Confession game: how many lenses do you have? Why do you keep them? Which was let go?

SWMBO can't distinguish between either the 4 (current) bodies or my (relatively "few") lenses - meaning I could probably buy more, but the credit card company might then "focus attention" on the "matter" :(

Thankfully I don't think I've ever had LBA - apart from 1 or 2 specific lenses! Thus I don't have many lenses, and when one never gets used then I'll probably sell it to recoup "some" cash" if I can.

OTOH, there are a couple (very early 35mm Flektagon with "sentimental" value, and a couple of old 50mm primes that fit my remaining, and never used, 35mm bodies) - and then there are those (Practica bayonet & Sigma-equivalent fit) that just are not worth the hassle in trying to sell them, even if somebody bought them I wouldn't make more than a pound or two after the P&P costs.

Finally, there is one (an ancient and huge/heavy M42 Sun 80-200mm zoom) that I wouldn't wish on anyone - the glass from the bottom of a bottle would probably produce better images

Not "generally", but there is tea made with "cold water" - absolutely undrinkable (as is "iced tea"!)!

"GOOD" tea MUST be made with BOILING HOT water - otherwise "why even bother"?

PS: OTOH, I do like really "strong" "Americun" coffee, with or without milk - but can't seem to find that here in the "old country":(

I/we are "with" StiffLegged (Post #10) on Yorkshire Tea because it's "strong" (we are "old", so we need "strong"!) - and have at least a year's (probably nearly two!) supply (courtesy of the Makro trade supermarket branch in East London a year ago!), and so have 3 VERY large bags (1200 teabags each) of single-cup teabags in the attic! :D

1st post in this thread and here goes: when someone asks a question like this and has definite budgetary resource limits, my approach is pretty much always to try to make suggestions that would respect those limits (or maybe even come in below them with a bit of luck!) as I too now suffer financial restraints (and the current health crisis won't make the situation any better).

I totally agree with those who "nay-say" people who propose "relatively massive" increases over the questioner's stated budget limits, and thus with those who suggest "older" kit that might meet both the desired "performance" goals and the budget limits.

OTOH, IF the performance goals are realistically unachievable within those budget limits (e.g. I want a K-1 and a good Pentax 70-200 f2.8 zoom and I have around 100 $//€ to spend - so where can I get those?;)) then it is only right and proper to (politely!) say something like "no chance" and ask the list of questions suggested earlier in order to better understand what the questioner wants to achieve.

SPIDERS - BE AFRAID! "They" will get you, wherever you are!

SWMBO is "S*** S***ed" of spiders and so I have to get rid of them - but generally by gently capturing them, and then releasing them outside the house (often a "long drop" from the toilet window:lol:)

Personally: I don't have a major problem with spiders - there's one that, from year to year, seems to keep our conservatory free of flying bugs over Winter :D

OTOH: not the same for the garage which used to get webs everywhere over Winter - but not since I started lighting "bug candles" in there in late September ;)

FWIW, cheap substitute = cut one out from a discarded plastic "whatever":D

And keep/ buy a "real one" and keep that safely in the cupboard until you want to sell the body - or just to "show off" around "here" :D :D

I'm with Apet-Sure on the early 17-70 Sigma f 2.8 -f 4.5 DC (read my review in the lens review thread to which he posted!) as it's been my walkaround lens of choice for the last several years, and will probably be for the foreseeable future. IMHO, IF you can find one, it will be cheap and so buy it :D.

PS: and the later versions are "that bad" either - but will be more expensive;)

NOBODY is belittling those with "issues" like LBA and OCD (my stepson has the latter) because they have a real "attraction" to a specific "activity" - from what I've seen/read those "conditions" are sometimes just an obsession, but can be a symptom of some form of autism. OTOH, diagnosed-autistic people often seem to show strong determination to "succeed and achieve" in the field to which they are drawn - thus it would seem that such folk really do sometimes "reach the heights" in those fields :D
