Thanks ASDF. I found a review for that lens. I will probably get that one. The pics are stunning in that review.

I have a Sigma 18-50mm f2.8. I like wide angle. I have taken a lot of shots with it at 18mm but I am wondering if there is a sharper lens out there at that focal length. Here is my website. Alabama, Fine Art, Travel, Entertainment, Photography . All of those pics were taken with the Sigma.

To shoot in slow motion you have to have a camera that will shoot a faster frame rate. You can do fast motion by speeding up the frame rate with your editing software but I think the fastest frame rate is probably going to be 30fps for the K5.

that some of the new posters on here are Nikon users claiming to be trying to jump ship and sell all to get into a Pentax system. I think Nikon is in the crisis mode over the K5. It puts the D300 to shame and takes a solid stab at the D700 while making the D7000 seem like a mute point for a choice. I think Nikon knows that the K5 is a pretty serious threat.

I have owned the K10D and still own the K20D and now have a K5 and I can tell ya that the autofocus on the K5 is light years beyond both and if it is slower than Nikon or Canon there is no way you could possibly discern it without electronically timing it in thousandths of a second.

I have my camera set up on Program mode with the ISO set on AUTO up to 3200. You can change the shot however you want to from Program mode by changing aperture and shutter speed settings.

For some reason they are swarming like bees here. I think there isn't that much blooming anymore right now and the feeders are the only place they have to feed. At one time there were at least ten coming around that one feeder and we have three feeders here.

I have moisture on the inside of my 70-200 Sigma. I took it outside from the air conditioning yesterday evening and it fogged up. I let it sit in my camera bag overnight with a few gel packs and a cloth but still no luck yet. Any suggestions?

You're right. I have a 58mm Voigtlander that I love and I have intentions of eventually getting some Zeiss lenses. The 58 mm with the crop factor is too much lens in some situations and I think it would be great to make full use of it on a FF body. They already have a decent selection of primes for 35mm on the market and the most obvious step into FF would be to develop a nice selection of zooms initially.

Personally I think FF is the obvious next step for Pentax. I think it's really the only tooth missing from their bite. If they could offer a FF camera that is the size of the K7 it would be a huge hit. Wedding photographers want small lightweight cameras that aren't a workout to haul around all day, not to mention hikers and sports enthusiasts as well. If they could keep the price under $2000 and then have a 16-50 f2.8 and a 50-135 f.2.8 as initial lens offerings I think they could capture a segment of Canikon users. I think some people today are thinking that eventually they might like to take a stab at going pro in photography and it's hard to justify starting out on a platform that does not have a pro option. I think Pentax has been wise in the way that they have handled the 645D. If they step into the water the same way with a FF camera I think it could really pay off for them. The main thing is to keep designing cameras and lenses that people want. Every level of consumer needs a carrot and I think right now the next carrot would be FF.
