Photographic Resolution Charts

I just received two double-sided resolution test charts that I bought on eBay. I plan on testing all my cameras (both film and digital) and all of my lenses eventually but I have no idea how to use them. If somebody could help me figure them out. I'll (hopefully) include pictures. I took these with the camera on my phone so the images may not be the best. I'm not even sure if I'm posting this in the right place or not.facebook.com/toddkellerkandcphotography/albums/10152686214802237

He does have a point. Cardinals seem hard as hell to shoot (at least for me). I don't think I've gotten a single good picture of a cardinal yet.

I shoot with three Pentax 35mm SLRs. As far as digital photography goes, I only shoot Canon. The reasons for this are because that's what I started with and because I cannot afford equipment from multiple systems. It's got nothing to the quality of the other brands or even the brands themselves. If I tried to get a camera from another system, I'd have to take the time to actually learn how to operate the camera and that's just way too damn much work.

Personally, I think this image would be better if the reflections weren't so strong. They overpower the interior of the restaurant (or whatever it is). I think that using a polarizing filter would help to add a little balance to this image.

With as much photography equipment as I buy, it's very hard for me to update my recent acquisitions as I get them. Some of the things that I have added recently have been a Honeywell Pentax H1A, a Soligor Spot Sensor, a Nikon EM (with a couple of lenses), and a couple of lenses. I also have a Canon EOS Rebel K2 on the way that I purchased on eBay.

These are some very good images. I really love the first one. I just acquired my first macro lens and this makes me wish it where warm enough to go out and try shooting with it.

I just updated this a few days ago and now I am having to update it again. I just purchased a Vivitar MC Macro 55mm f/2.8 macro lens for Canon FD-mount. This is my first macro lens. I am dying for it to get warm outside so I can try this lens out.

I just purchased a Mamiya/Sekor 500DTL 35mm camera and I have a question about it. According to the instruction manual, you can use either 20-exposure or 36-exposure rolls of film in it. Does this mean that I can only use modern-day 36-exposure rolls of film in it or can I use 24-exposure rolls of film? I have tried looking on the internet but I have not found the answer so far.

Well, I have not been on here (I am referring to this forum and not this particular but that too) due to lack of internet and working all of the time but I had some recent additions to my photographic arsenal that I just recently acquired. Both of them are FD-mount lenses that I can use with my Canon AE-1 Program. One is a Vivitar 28mm f/2.8 lens and the other one is a Vivitar 75-205mm f/3.8 macro focusing zoom lens. The acquisition before this one was a Canon EOS 10D digital slr camera.

Time to update my latest acquisition for the umpteenth time. I just purchased my second Canon EOS Elan IIE body today for only fifteen dollars (plus tax). I paid thirty (or thirty-five) for the first one.

Is This Flash Compatible With My Minolta Camera
Posted By photographyguy74

I just recently bought a Minolta XG-M 35mm SLR camera with some accessories. Included were two flash units (Vivitar 550FD M/P/O and Focal DA-2000 Multi Dedicated). In the manual for the 550FD, it states that it will work with a Pentax K1000 so I am assuming that it will work with my Pentax K1000SE (correct me if I am wrong). Does anyone know if it will work with the XG-M? It does not list that particular camera in the instruction manual which got me kind of curious about why the person that I bought this stuff from would include it with the camera and other stuff if it is not supposed to be used on the Minolta. I assume that this person used it on the XG-M but I do not really want to risk anything until I know for certain. I was trying to find the flash voltages that were allowed by both the K1000SE and the XG-M and I was also trying to find the flash voltage output (I hope that is the right way to say that) of the 550FD. So far, I have not found anything. Another question just popped into my head. In the Pentax K1000 section in the instruction manual, it states that the flash can only be used in A1 or A2 mode. I was just wondering why it couldn't be used in manual mode.

Here I go changing my latest acquisition again. I purchase a camera and some accessories from someone. Included was a Minolta XG-M 35mm camera, a Zensar 135mm f/2.8 lens, a Sigma 35-70mm f/2.8-4 lens, a Vivitar 550FD speedlight (I got lucky with this because it will also work with my Pentax K1000SE camera), a Focal (not sure if this is the brand) DA-2000 speedlight, and an MT Auto Teleplus 2x teleconverter (this might be made by Kenko...it came in a case that say Kenko but that does not necessarily mean anything). I got all of this stuff for forty dollars. I don't think that I did too bad.

I just bought a Minolta XG-M 35mm SLR camera from someone and I am having a problem with this camera. The mirror is in the upward position. There is a lever just inside the mirror chamber. When I move this lever towards the right, the mirror comes down but once I release this lever, it moves back to the left and the mirror goes back up again. Does this camera have a mirror lockup feature or is there something wrong?
