FA*600 on ebay

It's a common practice. An eBay seller gets their account compromised via phishing and a scammer uses the legitimate account to scam people with photos and descriptions of high value items stolen from other listings.

If you want something loaded with features and don't care if it's a bit plasticy, go with the Super Program. Think of it as the equivalent to Canon's AE1 Program or Minolta's X700. The ME Super has a better feeling build quality, but I've found they generally have more problems. I wouldn't go with any AF bodies if you're going to shoot with MF lenses, the experience of focusing is more difficult with the plain focusing screen. If you don't need manual exposure, you could go with the ME or ME SE. I prefer the SE because the smooth leatherette is nicer feeling than the typical leatherette. Good luck!

Except it's really not. You're not served a battery-powered blender with exposed blades and no safety features in a drive through that could easily drop in your lap. The temperature McDonald's served their coffee at was incredibly unsafe and the injuries the poor woman recieved were horrible.

Normal for film advance on an LX?

What do you mean by "notchiness"? My LX advances consistently and smoothly. Yours could possibly need a lubrication, so it might be worth a CLA.

I use an ergonomic vertical mouse. It takes a bit to get used to, but you'll never want to go back to a standard mouse once you do. It's way better on the wrist than a regular mouse. It forces you to use a handshake posture while holding the mouse which takes pressure off of the carpal tunnel nerve. I also use a very old Wacom Intuous 3 tablet for editing which is also way more ergonomic than a standard mouse, and gives you much more control.

Digitize Negatives with Negative Lab Pro (Lightroom Plugin)

Is that the digitaliza film holder? I have both the 120 and 135 holders, while it's awesome that you get the full film border with the 135 one, it is terrible for film flatness. I often have to open it and relay the film multiple times to even get semi flat negatives. The 120 one is okay though. Negative Lab Pro is amazing, and we'll worth the hundred bucks if you shoot film. On the light table, just make sure you get one with a decent CRI. I bought a tracing pad that has a really high luminance value and a rechargable battery, but gives sometimes poor results and I get terrible color shifts towards the edges of the light pad. The brand I have doesn't publish the CRI for the model I bought which likely means it's very low.

Lucky you, these lenses are really expensive and rare. I have the RE original version of this lens and it's my favorite standard lens ever and I wish I could shoot it on my Pentax, although I don't believe the Cosina reproduction will be quite the same. Cosina tweaked the optical formula and the single coated nature is what gives the original so much of its character. It's beautifully sharp wide open but the washed out contrast gives the images it makes a really unique vintage look.

Oof, this is a very tempting price. I paid about the same for one in user condition with a 28 and the hand grip, but the prism is scratched to hell, and I've always been curious about picking up one in better condition.

Lucky you! I think the prices are so crazy because that's the only camera with a mechanical shutter speed that fast. It has some sort of crazy carbon fiber shutter curtain.

Aren't Limited size is kind of an understatement, the 45 is close to the size of the 50mm ART and has a slower aperture.

I had a Petri Racer, which was an awesome camera until the rewind crank broke. It's a more compact rangefinder with the same 45mm lens on it. It's sad that they remained in the shadows of the Electros and Canonets.

There was definitely some confusion on the launch of the KP. I could be wrong, but I distinctly remember the marketing material in the very beginning placing the KP as a replacement for the K-3ii, but then Ricoh backpedalled very quickly and said that it was a new product line.

Sony has a 20mm APSC lens that is as pancake as pancake could be. For full frame, the Samyang primes are pretty compact. The Loxia 21 it's pretty compact and faster than the Pentax, I'd be curious to see its size comparison with the Pentax+adapter. There is a disappointing amount of small lenses for Sony. The Fuji stuff is pretty small, but only APSC.

Where to scan medium format negatives?

There is someone who uses a K-1 with pixel shift on the "digitizing film with a digital camera" Facebook group and theit results have looked great, although I don't know if they've done any comparisons. From what I've gathered, digitalizing with a camera gives much better results for 35mm, but I'm not sure about larger sizes. I use a K-3 but definitely want to pick up a K-1 or K-P at some point for the pixel shift to see for myself.

Definitely not long gone, maybe more rare though. There are deals to be made on eBay if you look closely at listings. I just recently got a PZ-1P in perfect order with a SMC K 20mm f/4.0 attached for an absurdly low price because the listing was completely mislabeled. The 20 is at the local camera repairman getting a CLA and I could probably sell the PZ-1P for most of what I paid on eBay for the whole thing. I also got an M 40mm pancake for like 30$. I was watching when it was more than 60 I think, the listing said it had some haze. The seller first lowered the price, then within a few days sent me an offer for 30$ and I accepted without blinking. The lens looks pretty clear of haze to me and is cosmetically near mint.

Get an Epson V600 and do it at home, that's your best bet. Otherwise use your DSLR, and a macro lens and light pad or iPad with an old enlarger/tripod/copy stand. That's what I do and it yields great results, much better than my local lab. Plus I get to control the inversion of negatives. Negative Lab Pro is an amazing plugin for light room and I believe they're running a 10 dollar off deal right now.

Permanent M42 Adapter to Lens?

The removal is not a pain IF you use the genuine Pentax adapter. You use your fingernail and it's really simple. M42 lenses often work fine in av mode if they have a manual switch for the aperture. The viewfinder just gets darker as you close down the aperture.

Worth it?

Some expired films sell for buttloads by themselves, look at Portra VC or Fuji Natura. Does the enlarger come with a lens? Some German enlarging lenses are pretty pricey too. I would buy it myself because I'm looking to replace my tripod for negative scanning with either an enlarger or copy stand, and copy stands are pretty pricey. While no one wants enlargers, they cost so much to ship due to their size it's not worth it unless you find something local.

If the op still needs help, I would recommend a small mechanical self timer, I find them all the time at a local camera shop at an antique mall, this one cost me 2 bucks. It threads right into the shutter button of the LX.

You should add a Topcon RE Super to your collection, which the lightmeter is functional without a viewfinder (albeit, through a very hard to see window to the left of the focusing screen).

Holy crap, a proximity sensor below the viewfinder? My K-3 is basically a perfect camera for me, but my only major complaint with it has been that there is no proximity sensor to shut off the screen. I'm a left eye shooter, and there's nothing more annoying than my giant nose hitting a button and turning on the screen which blares into the viewfinder making it really hard to see.

Pentax MZ-5N broken mechanism of viewfinder mirror

There should be threads here about fixing the issue, apparently the nylon gear breaks on these cameras causing the mirror to lock up. I think someone sourced a brass gear from somewhere to replace it.
